I have been working on a few custom widgets for the Web App Builder, but I would like some input as to what widget/functionality people are wanting most.
The WAB has several great OTB widgets but what (realistic) widgets are missing and would be (in your opinion) great to have?
1. Decent print widget with insert image, text boxes, and map elements (and move them around).
2. Append imported local data to a published feature service in the web map.
Thanks, cob
It would be good to have a trace tool within the draw widget on WAB. This would allow users to draw along existing boundaries in the map.
Selection Widget.
Kind of the end-all be-all of widgets.
Surprised ESRI didn't include this already.
Selection Widget Updated Version
Oh well, I'm going to commence laboring away to resurrect this widget for WAB. I may not be the best person for this task but we have to have it, and so I'll begin. I'll track it in this thread, I have done some preliminary research thus far Selection Widget - is this ported yet?
How about something similar to the import services from ArcGIS Online Flex Widget. But maybe have it come from your Open Data Site. The EPA's EJSCREEN has this function, but not in the WAB widget format.
When you open the link go to Map Data then go to Search Available Data.
It pretty much functions the same way as the old Flex Import Services widget.
By the way huge fan of all the work you did with the Flex Viewer Widgets. Great JOB!
Hi Robert:
How about an enhanced bookmark widget like the eBookmark widget in Flexviewer which allows the user to
nest or group bookmarks to have them easier to find and organize.
Thanks
Rose,
Yep that one is on my list to do.
Robert:
That's awesome! Can't wait to use it!
Thanks a lot!
Robert:
I also like the Shapefile widget in Flexviewer. Is it on your to-do list?:)
Rose,
Yes the shapefile widget is definitely on my list.
