Following the release of Arc Hydro for ArcGIS Pro 2.5 earlier this year, here is the Arc Hydro for ArcGIS Pro 2.6 formal release. The major advancements include implementation of Trace Network capabilities fully released in Pro 2.6, addition of functionality for hydrologic modeling support, LAS to DEM creation toolset, two new functions for terrain ruggedness quantification, and several other functions transitioned from the ArcMap version. This release is identified as “ArcHydroPro2.0.221_signed” release in the Arc Hydro Pro download setup directory.
Check out a separate blog on the ruggedness measurements and an extensive document presenting the hydrologic processing workflows, including export to HEC-HMS basin file. If you did not get a chance to recently review “Arc Hydro – Project Development Best Practices” and, specifically for Pro, the “Arc Hydro – ArcGIS Pro Project Startup Best Practices” document, now would be good time to do so. Both documents, as well as all others in the Arc Hydro documentation series, are available on the Arc Hydro GeoNet page.
Arc Hydro Pro development continues and plans for the 2.7 release focus on including additional floodplain delineation and hydraulic modeling support tools, advanced Trace Network tools, and more extensive documentation. If you have any questions or comments, please contact the Arc Hydro team either via the GeoNet page or directly via email using firstname.lastname@example.org.
