I have made a Multimodal network analysis consisting of Maritime_Routes, World_Railroads, and World_roads as a mode of transportation. I have applied the Closest facility and that works fine for a small number of cities. when I select all cities (2341 cities) the ArcGIS is not able to process it. Any possible solution for this. Will cloud computing make the process faster? Thanks

I agree with George Thompson about reaching out to Esri Technical Support. Licensing ArcGIS Enterprise is a very expensive approach that will likely not improve the speed of your calculations, or whether they will complete. File geodatabases on local drives are some of the fastest performing data stores for analysis, and you are already setup for that.

Hi I have routes between different cities in the World. I want to figure out how many countries the route is passing. So I have applied the Spatial Joint tool in ArcGIS Pro. In Target Features I have Routes, In Joint Feature I have countries boundaries. and in Match Option I have Intersect. the issue I am getting is that as if the route is going from Zagreb to Sofia, only cross the SERBIA, but with Spatial Joint I am getting the names of three countries, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Serbia. How I can correct this issue, please.

I have just about reached the limit of what I can do to help you here on GeoNet. It sounds like you have a lot of questions about both the basic functionality of the ArcGIS platform as well as some specific questions about how you can accomplish your specific workflows. I think it would be best for you to call Esri Support or the support through the distributor for your country. They can answer all of your questions and help you figure out your workflow.

Hi Muhammad, When I ran your query I also received a table with errors. It seems like the export is missing info in certain cities, leading to records not having identical structure. Consequently, when exported it populates rows with wrong data as the schema doesn't match. I quickly did a spatial join with a layer of country boundaries. Attached here. Hope this solves your problem. Uri If this answer solved your question or if you found it helpful please mark it accordingly to help others who have the same question.

After having completed (Exercise 3: Finding the best route using a network dataset—Help | ArcGIS Desktop ) in the official Esri Network Analyst Tutorial, I decided to find a route in the multimodal dataset (Exercise 2: Creating a multimodal network dataset—Help | ArcGIS Desktop ), to see how it functions. After adding several network locations along an intentionally long route, I pressed Solve. I was quite surprised to find that the route chosen took walking along the streets as the only transportation mode available (despite railway stations and lines being included in the dataset). I placed my origin and destination points quite far apart close to metro entrances, so I assumed that the directions would include walking to that first metro entrance, traveling on the train to the last metro entrance, exiting the station and walking to the destination point. The route ArcMap gave me indicated I would have to walk 3 hrs 46 mins along the streets to get to my destination! How do I ensure that the route chosen uses all available forms of transport to find the shortest route?
