I have a client who is planning a new utility (water, sewer, gas, etc) that will cross several parcels. I want to create parcel notification letters (using word mail merge) with a map attached to distribute to the affected parcel owners. I am thinking of a model or script which would be similar to this workflow: 1. Select the parcels that the proposed layout crosses, maybe with a buffer. 2. Create a mapbook(?) using the selected parcels as a boundary. 3. Create a field in the selected parcel feature class which will populate the name of the grid that the parcel is in. This way when the maps are printed, I can associate the correct map with the parcel. Anything similar to this would be a good beginning.
