I believe the reason for this could be that user which I'm using to sign in have expired AppStudio Creator license. When I close AppStudio and try login with another user, I login successfully. But I would expect AppStudio would throw some kind of error instead of constantly spinning without any message or whatsoever. I would count this behaviour as a bug.
