Hi Brian, That's right, you need to proceed to the survey form in order to change languages (via Collect, Sent, Inbox, Outbox or Draft folders). As you know a default language can be set for each survey. I don't believe there are any workarounds for setting a default language preference in the app, apart from changing the device locale of course. Please post your suggestion in the Ideas page. Thanks, Brett

Hi Paul, I can't reproduce this problem when publishing using 3.12 Connect to ArcGIS Online (exporting to SHP and File Geodatabase). Are you using ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise? Also, what format are you exporting to (i assume you're exporting via the Survey123 website)? Thanks, Brett

Sweet! That's a great idea! I knew that someone out there had to know of a better way to accomplish this. I will give it a shot tomorrow and let you know how it goes. Thanks for all the details as well. Hopefully I can get it half way working for my draft demo on Wednesday. I'll "accept as solution" as soon as I can tell it's going to work. Thank you so much, Brett.

Thanks for getting back to me @BrettStokes In the Survey123 app I draw a shape I then hit the check mark. If I now use my finger to move around the map (not the shape I drew), the shape shifts location After submitting the form, the polygon shifts again, the red being what was submitted originally, and the blue being the polygon available for update in the s123 app. I have only seen this in one survey, but that survey is the only one I use the new-ish polygon functionality so I'm not sure if it's a one-survey issue or a larger problem. I am happy to send you the sheet, but could I send it to an email? I'd prefer not to post it publicly for confidentiality reasons. Thanks for your help

Hello Brett, I can't seem to find the Survey123 for ArcGIS Template on my AppStudio. Was it replaced with the ArcGIS QuickCapture? See Attached my User Interface.

Brett, Sorry for such a long delay on this! After troubleshooting the issue with my field folks, I ended up re-publishing the survey with form updates they had requested. Ultimately, once I republished the survey end-users were not encountering this issue again, and I was unable to replicate my original issue to supply you with a screen recording. The issue they had been encountering was only for the 'freehand' tool, and the error message was only appearing when users would go to submit the survey.

Hi Tim, While basemaps in Survey123 are not 'interactive', they can be setup to display additional layers. Yes, it is possible to populate attributes directly from a feature layer using a JavaScript function. I would suggest taking a look at the 'JavaScript' sample available in Survey123 Connect. There is a group in this sample called 'Working with a Feature Service' that will help you get started. Also check out the 'Working with web services' section in the following Blog: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-survey123-blog/extending-survey123-smart-forms-with-custom-js-functions/ba-p/898782 Best regards, Brett

Hi Alejandro, It sounds like you need to use the jr:choice-name() function to store the label of a selected item in your target feature layer instead of the name. Please take a look at the jr:choice-name section of the following blog for more details: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-survey123-blog/survey123-tricks-of-the-trade-xlsform-functions-for-lists/ba-p/893567 Hope this helps, Brett

@RyanMcKenna - did you ever receive a solution to your above mentioned comment? "I am working on a building inspection form and I would like the building shape to be populated in the Geoshape based on the building name selected from a drop down. The form is setup to pull a number of fields from a CSV file and I can pull the vertex values to a text question with no issues. However when I try to pull the data directly to the geoshape question from the CSV or use a calculation to pull the data from the text question, I receive an error in Connect "java.lang.Number.Format.Exception: For input String..." I know the vertex information is in the correct format as the building will show up if I paste the coordinates in the default field. Am I missing a step that is needed to get the pull data function to work with geoshapes or is this not supported yet? I know there is the option to launch from Collector but I would rather not require the teams to use another app if they don't need to. I would consider using the Inbox method you outlined above but the inspectors need to collect photos and I don't see the repeat work around being a viable option for us." I am experiencing the exact same problem...
