I will second that; being able to resize the window would be very helpful!

Thanks for following up on this Dan. The person who has worked with this FC for years said that the AREA and LENGTH fields probably came from a joined layer.

This might be the case, I will have to check with the person who made it years ago.

They are in the Geometry spatial type. Does that answer your question?

I am using the SQL Server (2014) Enterprise Geodatabase, version 10.3.1. Here is a screenshot form the Feature Class Properties window on these two fields:

I want to preface my question by telling everyone who reads this that I have been a GIS pro since the 90's and have worked with ESRI products since that time, so here is my question... I have a point feature class that has Area and Length fields that I can't delete (I'm aware that some fields can't be deleted). It doesn't make sense to me why a point feature class would need area and length fields. Is there a way I can delete them other than creating a new layer and loading my data into it excluding the area and length fields? This feature class is in a 10.3.1 Enterprise Geodatabase and I am connected to it using the sa account from SQL Server. Thanks!

Hi Jean, Mike, I tried using the offset but didn't have much luck with it. I got around this issue by creating my own basemap for ArcGIS Online. This basemap is in original NAD83 not the Web Mercator coordinate system that the ArcGIS Online basemaps use (all my GIS data is in the original NAD83). I use a feature service that is hosted on my cloud server through ArcGIS Enterprise (Server) to put my data into. This feature service is in the orignial NAD83 as well. This way, there are no datum changes/shifts between ArcGIS Online and my final product. I know this isn't a perfect solution but it's working pretty well so far. I worked with Jean and Art Andrew at Orange County Public Works. It was a bit of a struggle but finally Art suggested that I don't do any datum shifts at all. That's how I got the idea to do what I'm doing. Jean, if you could help me get the Datum shift numbers for going from the original NAD83 to the NAD83 2017.5 that I think would be the perfect solution for me and maybe for Mike or others. If you have any other ideas that would be great to. I'm open to suggestions. FYI, I'm in CA State Plane Zone 2. Thanks Matt City of Healdsburg

I have been asked if I can make the scale bar that's on the map (not the print) be forced to stay in a unit type. For example, I work for a city and we always want the scale bar to be in feet. I don't know if this is possible but it would be nice. At least the upgrade will allow it on the print, so that's something!
