I think this functionality may overlap with ArcGIS Workforce a bit. Have you tried that solution?

I have a field worker that uses edit multiple in a very productive way for a certain project because it makes sense in that context. On another project I would like to have that feature disabled to prevent a field worker from cutting corners. If that control could be per map rather than per user that would be great!

The merge tool should be the correct tool. If you are getting 400 fields out of the merge this suggests there might be minor differences between the different fields in your inputs. That might be leading to your errors. check the field map at the bottom of the tool dialog before you run the tool. If everything is configured correctly, you should see 50 source layers for each field in the field map. If you are still having trouble you can make a copy of one of the 50 layers and use the append tool to combine the data. It also might be good to try and combine the layers in smaller groups rather than 50 at the same time. It might help you find the root cause.

My recommended solution would be to create a model with both tools in it specifying the execution order. You can then schedule a single model instead of a two different tools. In model builder if the first tool fails, the second tool will not execute.

I have had this exact same type of issues with roads. The way I overcame it was by creating views in an SDE geodatabase and then publishing that as a feature service. The only problem with this is that filter in the dashboard will not affect the summary information in the views I created. Having this capability in dashboards would be very useful for me.

I have a points layer that I am trying to symbolize by the chart. The chart currently includes 33 bars each representing a different week. I want to be able to add additional bars over time without having to completely rebuild the symbology each time I update it. The problem is when I create the bar graph, save the project, and open it, the bottom half of the options are hidden in the symbology panel along with the area to add field fields to the chart. The panel does not have a scroll bar. I can remove fields to access the rest of the menu but then I have to re-add fields to the bar graph. I could rotate my screen or get a bigger monitor but there should be a scrolling option somewhere right?

If this feature was implemented it would avoid a lot of confusion for some users. It's not obvious to them that there are multiple features overlapping and sharing the same geometry. panning through features using the popup arrows is not intuitive. Showing them all at once in a popup could help with this.

Thank you for bringing this up as well. I have the need for both summary tables and straight attribute table widgets in ESRI dashboards. For summary stats, I currently use table view in an SDE geodatabase to break a table into a number of statistics. I then created a fake table using the list widget. It gets the job done but it's not really formatted as a table. I would like the functionality to create a table like this without having to build custom views in an SDE geodatabase. It would also be nice if there was a table widget that looks better than a list widget pseudo table. The list widget does not have columns and the number next to the item can be distracting. A table widget would be a much better fit for me. I also want to display highway log mile and roadID information in the dashboard as a table. That would really need to be formatted as a table. I could not really pull it off in an easily understandable way with a list widget.
