G'day Jack Have a look at: Working with different authentication schemes | ArcGIS for Developers Specifically Non-Interactive Login Experience. This was changed with the last release of arcpy Previously was suggested to add username and password to the Interactive example. PS or Territory We are thinking of (re)starting a 'usergroup' and if interested drop us an email. Regards

G'day! Not something I have done. I haven't played with for a while either. At a guess, there are only so many variables to play with. Maybe see if the widget recognises other ersiTimeUnits esriTimeUnits Constants Regards

G'day All And the answer, from our local support, to our specific use case: After reviewing your case and undertaking some research, unfortunately it appears that this functionality is not available using App Login to access Feature Services via ArcGIS Enterprise. In the documentation you have listed below please see the last sub heading 'Available content and services' which lists what you can access using App Login. Another related bit of documentation is 'Limitations of App Login' found here - https://developers.arcgis.com/documentation/core-concepts/security-and-authentication/limitations-of-application-authentication/ Your use case has been submitted by other Esri customers as an enhancement to be made to the ArcGIS Enterprise product: ENH-000117119 - 'Provide an ability to use the token generated using client id and client secret of a web application to access a feature service in ArcGIS Enterprise.' Mind you, we did set the service to public as a test and it still failed. Keeping the service as public was not an option anyways. Regards

G'day Jack Seems to be a popular question on the form, and not a single answer. Did you find an answer or does the issue go away with later versions of Enterprise? We have the issue with 10.6.1 Thanks

G'day All When the number of categories increase, at some point the Dashboard decides to skip labels; ie every second category. That's ok, there is only so much room on the screen. However the Dashboard forgets that the remaining labels should be staggered; ie when every second label is removed, one level of stagger is also removed, rather than re staggering the remaining labels. When every category labeled ----------------------------------- | | | | | | | A | C | E | G B D F When too many categories to label ----------------------------------- | | | | | | | | A C E G What I would like to see ----------------------------------- | | | | A | E | C G Obviously my labels are much longer than one character PS ArcEnterprise v10.6.1 Thanks

G'day Heather Thanks for looking into this. We do have such a max travel time regulation and started with no 'constraints' in place to see what, was assumed, the 'optimal' routing would be. Yes adding the MaxTransitTime changes the result. I will need more time to drill down into the results and although real data, was a sample area to 'play' with how the tool behaves / works. Give or take the limited route options in this network, (and not yet having looked at the new routes), we would not be opposed to the bus stopping at the school before being full, if the bus was going to go past the school anyway. Even more so if that provided in effect extra capacity. A couple more queries: Where is it documented that those settings will cause that behaviour? Are there other multi settings behaviours? What would be a scenario where you would not want to offload the max quantity allowed if arriving at an orders' pair? Thanks again

G'day All I have two layers in a web map. School Catchments and Suburbs. Suburbs has an attribute for each school with the number of enrolments. Suburb School A School B School Z Alpha 0 23 165 Bravo 2 14 0 Zulu 100 8 0 I then filter the Suburbs by a School; ie School A (enrolments) > 0 I also select the matching schools catchment area. I can use the in built Filter web app to filter by each school. However I can't update the symbology to reflect the newly selected values. I can't see a way to do this, am I missing something? To progress the project I have started making views of each school's enrolments. Hoping a more elegant way. Any ideas? Thanks

G'day Scott Thanks for that. I needed an interactive card for view only end users. I ended up making a custom filter expression with date related sql.

G'day Heather Apologies again for the delay. There was another post from 2011 that raised the same issue and of course I can't now (quickly) find it. Yes, there is an order pair for each student / school. Yes, there is a time window end on when a student must be dropped at the school. No, there is no time window on when a student must be picked up to head to school. You are saying that since the time window is still open, the 'order' doesn't have to leave the vehicle? That makes programming sense, though not common sense For example, one test route picks up ten students, drives past the school and only drops seven students. Bus continues on for capacity of 71 and returns to school and drops only 27 students. Bus continues again to pickup 25 students, and returns to school to drop 7. Bus then doubles back to pick up final three students then empties bus at school. Time Violation is set to high and Excess Time set to low. This would have been less of an issue if the bus wasn't going back and forth, as had only delivered a handful of students rather than emptying the bus. Even if the back and forth is caused by other settings or the limited roads to service, when the bus does decide to stop at the school, why not have the program empty all orders present that are due at that location? Thanks

G'day Heather Apologies for the delay ... now have some 'spare' time. Another aspect of the routing we have yet to resolve (and haven't broached just yet) is when to have a student change buses (the scattered students point from above) At the moment we have order pairs for all students (well subset to start with) from home to school and then throw at the VRP solver. For various reasons, there are some students far from their school and it appears to be an inefficient use of the buses. I suspect mainly a learning curve thing; ie setting up routes vs what routes a student should take to get to school. I assume either changing buses along a route or at a dedicated interchange is not a VRP issue? If we manually decide what interchange a student should be paired to, we would still need to manage the time windows that a different bus would leave the interchange at a time the arriving student could catch. And one more aspect we have yet to tackle (and have seen something the touches on it) is spreading the load across routes. This is probably a low priority for us as currently more interested in the optimal cost routes. Regards
