Hi Tracy, According to a few different white papers state, the average time spent on a web page is around 30 seconds. When we did an assessment of time-on-page for the stories the StoryMaps team created, however, the average was more than 5 minutes and 30 seconds (I believe 5:36 was the exact number). Hope that helps!

Makes total sense, Malte, and sounds like a really great project! I hope you'll share it with us when it goes live. My colleague who created that interactive element in Placing Oral Histories will be back early next week. He can provide further guidance on what is required to make something like this for your own needs. We'll be in touch soon!

Hi Malte, Thanks for reaching out. The element you're asking about is actually a stand-alone webpage built explicitly for this purpose, and then embedded in the story the same way you'd embed any other web page. The member of the Story Maps team who created it is traveling out of the country right now, but we'll be sure to have him follow up with you on the specifics as soon as he returns. In the meantime, another way to create a "chapter picker" in Cascade stories would be to utilize hyperlinked images. We've used that trick at the end of this piece, which is an introduction to an ongoing series we're in creating: Living in the Age of Humans (Use the 'Chapters' bookmark to jump to the example.) To create that, we've simply taken screenshots of the cover page for each chapter, and then followed these steps to turn the images into clickable buttons. Hope that helps, and we'll be in touch soon about the webpage in Placing Oral Histories. If you have other questions in the meantime don't hesitate to ask!

Also, yes you're correct, this solution only works for individual tweets, not entire feeds.

Hi there, sorry this has been so problematic for you! Here is the snippet you need to insert into the JSON: { "type": "webpage", "webpage": { "type": "webpage", "url": " https://twitframe.com/show?url=https://twitter.com/EsriStoryMaps/status/915618221780123648 ", "height": 550, "options": { "interaction": "enabled", "size": "small" }, "caption": "" } }, I've also included a screenshot of what it looks like in the JSON editor. I tested this myself a few minutes ago and can confirm it's working for me. If copying and pasting the code still isn't working, I'd suggest you double check anywhere you have a single quotation mark in the code snippet. I've noticed that sometimes when I paste in code, those single quotes don't format properly, and I sometimes have to delete the pasted version and type in a new single quote. If you're still having problems let me know—I'd be happy to hop on a call and help you troubleshoot this further!
