Yes, ArcGIS Indoors is something we are very interested in moving towards, though we have yet to implement ArcGIS Enterprise (hopefully happening this year). We do at least have the educational site license and we are not in a hurry to get this done, just really feeling out if it's even possible. I was aware you could track the location of mobile devices with Indoors, but I wasn't sure if it was possible to connect other types of devices (such as what I would put on an object, like a piece of science equipment, that needs to be tracked). I'm also not sure if a tracking device like what I would need--small, long battery life, ability to connect to ArcGIS instead of using another software, uses already existing infrastructure life Wifi (w/o the need to add a bunch of sensors throughout our buildings), etc.-- even exists. Does that make sense? Shew it's hard to put my mess of thoughts in a coherent sentence sometimes.

Hello! I'm trying to brainstorm some possible ways to track assets in GIS. I understand it's possible to use a GeoEvent Server with GPS trackers to track things like vehicles and whatnot. However, what I'm looking for is a way to track much smaller assets without the use of GPS, as many assets will be indoors. We are in the process of mapping out all our building floor plans. Can trackers using Wifi somehow be used here instead of GPS? Of course a limiting factor here would be that the trackers/sensors need to be small and have a long battery life. Anyone have any ideas or input on how this might be done, if at all? I do realize there are other companies and software/hardware that specialize in this, buuuut in the interest of cost and whatnot it would be great to use something we already have (that something being ArcGIS and Wifi).

I have one feature layer to display in an embedded WebApp, but it will not display in Chrome. Works fine in Safari, but for some reason will not display in Chrome. I have also tried embedding just the web map and it is the same. This is the webpage with the embedded WebApp: https://www.berea.edu/facilities-management/grounds/ This is the link to the WebApp: ArcGIS Web Application I have tried deleting the cookies in my Chrome browser, but it still won't show the feature layer. I have ensured all the layers are shared publicly. What could be happening?

The feature service and base map are both in NAD 83 Kentucky State Plane South. The basemap is an AGOL hosted tile layer. They are both using the same coordinate system when I check them in ArcMap and when I peek into each of their services directory pages on AGOL. When I am using the Default location provider and the accuracy of my GNSS receiver is its best (7cm), it seems off by about ~2ft on the map from where the receiver actually is. I use an NTRIP correction service through the KY CORS network for my receiver.

I recently changed the basemap on most of my maps to use my own imagery. This basemap uses NAD83 Kentucky State Plane South. My GNSS receiver uses NAD 1983 2011. I put that information into my new location profile, says there is no need for transformation. Great. But then when I go to open my map, it says the location profile does not match the coordinate system of the map. Why would this be? I thought all maps in AGOL took on the coordinate system of the basemap. It I choose the Default location profile, my maps open no problem, but that assumes my GNSS coordinate system is WGS 1984, which it isn't (or shouldn't be...). Anyone have any insight into what to do here?

We got it working smoothly. I believe ports 80 and 443 were correct. And our IT department handled the security so that only members of our organization can open the links using their organization credentials.

I'm trying to publish a survey from a feature service (specifically to a related table in that feature service), but I keep getting this error: Except every single one of the fields in the survey is in the table. I've combed through it multiple times and can't find anything different between the two. I've posted other surveys in a similar manner before and never encountered this problem. The only thing that I see when looking at the Schema Preview is that there is a geopoint field that is not in my table. Could this be the issue? If so, what to do about it? If not, what else could it be?

Yes it's strange that it did not work. I ended up abandoning that survey and making a new one and publishing it from the default template first, then I actually created the survey how I wanted it and republished it and it worked. No idea what was on the go!
