Thanks for the confirmation Jeff. We don't have any workflows that utilize the item update dates. So, not a major issue, but these quirks are annoying!

Just learned from ESRI support that this is a known issue. BUG-000136026 Portal for ArcGIS resets the 'Updated:' dates of items to the 'Created:' dates upon upgrading to a new version. This was logged a few weeks back. I was wondering if there is any workaround to deal with this issue. Don't think the ArcGIS Python API item modified property is settable!

I am attempting to migrate an existing ArcGIS Enterprise - single server base deployment to a new machine. Trying to use the webgisdr utility to minimize downtime, following steps outline in this blog post. When restoring/importing the full webgisdr backup file from original installation to the new server (after the completing the base installation and setup) I run into an error and the restore fails for ArcGIS Datastore. Please see the attached screenshots. It looks like the process is attempting to register a tile cache datastore (not sure why - there should be one already configured). If I drop the tileCache store from the original deployment, export the backup file and restore it to the new server, the import process is successful (relational datastore, portal and server). We have multiple environments and I tried the full restore on two similar environments and ran into this issue on development environment. System Test environment restored successfully with both the relational and tileCache datastores. The only difference is the development environment has ArcGIS Insights which is documented to cause issues and I uninstalled ArcGIS Insights and removed the registered relational datastore types prior to starting this process. Would appreciate assistance figuring out this issue. @JonathanQuinn

After upgrading ArcGIS Enterprise from 10.7.1 to 10.8.1 the Modified Dates are getting reset to the original creation date for all user content. We have multiple environments and I have attempted upgrading the development and test environments. In both instances encountered the same issue. I have found a very similar issue logged as a BUG-000112885 As per the bug report, the issue was with modified dates getting set to the upgrade date. Also the specific issue was fixed at version 10.6.1 In my case the update/modified dates are getting rest to the item creation date. Prior to running the upgrade I have installed all the available patches. Would appreciate some help resolving the issue or any workarounds to update the modified dates.

Ravi Dhulipudi, Jonathan Quinn I encounter the same issue with IE 11. We are on ArcGIS Portal 10.7.1. It appears the workaround that is mentioned here was already implemented in this release. However still facing the same problem. Any suggestions or other workarounds to fix this? C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Portal\framework\webapps\arcgis#home\postsignin.html

Steve, I am curious to know if you were able to find a solution or viable approach. We are attempting to expose our ArcGIS REST Service endpoints via Apigee. The server is federated with a portal that is internal to the organization. Portal is configured with Okta to be the identity provider (SAML). Can you please provide details on your implementation?

Malcolm Meyer - I am looking at ways to pull in vector tiles that are not from ESRI vector tile service, but generated using Tippecanoe and hosted on Azure. Would you have some guidance or an example style file to share?

We switched Portal for ArcGIS security from SAML based identity provider to use Integrated Windows Authentication. After this change I am unable to connect to the Portal using the ArcGIS python API. I can sign into the portal in ArcGIS Pro as well as using the browser. However, I am not able to connect to the portal within ArcGIS Pro Python window. I get the following error message (Attached screenshot) when attempting to connect to the portal using the API. I have seen a BUG related to this: BUG-000108063 I tested a few python environments in conda and was able to connect to the portal. However, the version of ArcGIS python API has to be 1.2.4 or lower. Unable to connect with a newer version of the API. Also found a few post talk about this error related to specific version of pywin32 module and recommended using winkerberos. Haven't got success with this approach as well.

Hi Phil, Thanks for your response. I was able to write a python script to upload attachments and specify a keyword using the ArcGIS Python API and the Python Requests module. Attached is the script, in case someone else runs into this issue. Might not be the most efficient way, but got the job done. Thanks, Sudhir

I am trying to find an easy way to specify a keyword that is associated with a feature attachment. In some instances, attachments are being added to the feature layer outside of suvery123 and a custom print template from the survey123 website is used to generate a printout of the survey. In my research I have found the REST API add/update attachment would likely be the solution. I have a few hundred feature attachments that the keyword has to be specified. Has anyone scripted this before?
