Hello all, I have some questions about time sliders extents and auto-populating them. I am using Portal 10.4 and cannot upgrade at this time. I have a web application that has a basemap with a time aware layer in it. I have a GP service that performs some calculations - one of which is updating my time fields that inform the time aware layer and my time slider. I have a time slider widget in my app that I want to then use to show the updated time data that my GP service just calculated. However, the time aware data layer that's in my map/app does not update when the GP service is run... making it pretty useless as you'd have to then open up the map you created, turn off disable time, re-enable time, etc.... I'm looking for a way to make sure that the map updates itself when you run the GP service. I found this thread here that kind of sort of answers my questions - but I'm not really using the Java Script API and my JS is limited. I could use it if someone could give me very step-by-step instructions. I'm not totally without the ability to alter the JS. I'm using web app builder for developers 2.4. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! Carmie

Hi Jason, I'm sorry to be responding to this so many years later - but I'm in a pickle and your answer seems to be the only thing close to an answer I can find. I have a GP service that performs some calculations - one of which is updating my time fields that inform the time slider. I'm looking for a way to make sure that the map updates itself when you run the GP service. Any help would be appreciated! I'm going to put this in it's own thread as well. Thanks! Carmie

Any news on this? This is something I assumed was an integral part of wanting to have near real-time data in the time slider. I can't believe this isn't something that exists.

This is a bit old - but I thought I'd see if you ever figured out a "clear all" button. It would be quite handy to have! Carmie

Hi Robert, Thank you so much! I feel a bit better that maybe I'm not crazy! Here's another question if you've got time. Since I really like using the Jewelry Box theme with your pop-up panel widget I attempted to integrate it into the Foldable Theme (since that already had the 5 widget containers I needed). It works kind of okay when I'm editing the web app (see attached screenshot) - but when I attempt to launch the app, nothing happens. The side panel never opens (even if I leave the close panel buttons checked off) I just have the swirly loading circle forever and ever. I've attached the config.json I used for my Foldable Theme Layout.... I'm sure I'm just not knowledgeable enough to understand where I went wrong. But this is really frustrating me as I don't want to put my widgets into the header container! It's sort of a last resort to do that. Thank you! Carmie

Hmm... if I copy and paste this in, it does not work. I don't see any Themes at all. See attached. Robert, I'm curious why your code is referencing version 2.1 so much. Could that be part of the issue? I'm working off a fresh install of 2.3. Just to make sure I'm making sense - this is what I did: 1) Added a folder called "layout3" to my Layouts folder in the JewerlyBoxTheme folder ...\Desktop\arcgis-web-appbuilder-2.3\WebAppBuilderForArcGIS\client\stemapp\themes\JewelryBoxTheme\layouts\layout3 2) Copied the config/images from the "default" layout folder to "layout3" 3) Edited and added in the code in which I add in the extra widget containers to the config.json located in "layout3" 4) Added in the new "layout3" to the manifest.json in my JewelryBoxTheme Am I missing a step anywhere? Like I said, this worked fine in 2.2 and all looked nice. Thank you so much for your help. Carmie

Hi Robert, Thank you so much for getting back to me! Unfortunately, I can't seem to get this to work. I've attached my config file. When I use this as is, my "home" button and my "My Location" button shift to the right (see attached screenshot) and I do not get any extra widget containers. Am I missing some brackets or something? Thank you, Carmie
