Hi John, Are you trying to re-project data from Web Mercator to the Ohio State Planes projection? If that's the case, the Project tool should do the trick. Project—Help | ArcGIS Desktop The tool will output a new dataset that will be transformed from the Web Mercator into the Ohio State Planes projection. Here's a video, if you're unfamiliar with the workflow: 12.30.2019-09.20.22 If I'm mistaken about what you're trying to do, apologies! But hopefully, this helps! Best, Lauren

Hi George, I'd also check the symbology settings of the raster before exporting. Often, by default, there's a Stretch Type set (generally Percent Clip) which adjusts the appearance of the raster. When the raster is exported, it doesn't export with the stretch applied, it just exports the pixel values. So I'd make sure the washed out export has the same Stretch Type applied as the original. To do that: Right-click on the original raster in the Contents pane and select "Symbology" Note the Stretch Type and the Min and Max values listed underneath it Right-click on the washed out exported raster in the Contents Pane and select Symbology Make sure the Stretch Type and Min/Max values are the same as the original If that's not successful, in the Export Raster pane, there's a Use Renderer box that I'd try checking. It may not be the exact same as the input, but it might get it closer! I hope that helps! Happy rastering! Best, -Lauren

Hello, I'd also try publishing different data and see if that's successful? That should tell us whether it's the data or ArcGIS Online that has the issue. Best, Lauren

Hi Zachary, The workflow for creating a custom basemap in ArcGIS Online is the same as described above and does involve using Basemap Layers, as mentioned previously: Using custom basemaps Since you're working with aerial imagery, here's a rough outline of what might work: Use the Generate Tile Cache Tiling Scheme to create a custom tiling scheme for your raster: Generate Tile Cache Tiling Scheme—Data Management toolbox | ArcGIS Desktop Use the Manage Tile Cache tool to create a tile cache of the aerial imagery using the custom tiling scheme XML created with the Generate Tile Cache Tiling Scheme tool Manage Tile Cache—Data Management toolbox | ArcGIS Desktop Use the Export Tile Cache tool with Tile Package selected as the Export Cache As: Export Tile Cache—Data Management toolbox | ArcGIS Desktop Add the tile package to ArcGIS Online and publish as a hosted tile layer (this has the added benefit of not consuming tile-creation credits) Once the host tile layer is published, open a Web Map Continue with the workflow in the blog linked above What results is a map that's in the spatial projection of the tile package. Keep in mind that the tiling scheme created in the first step needs to be custom. If it uses the ArcGIS Online tiling scheme, it will use Web Mercator Auxiliary Sphere all through the rest of the process. But using a custom tiling scheme keeps the spatial reference of the original aerial imagery (in this case, NAD83 state plan coordinate system) But hopefully that's a clearer workflow to use! -Lauren

Hi Zach, Does using basemap layers in ArcGIS Online work for you? Creating basemaps using layers I'm hoping that gets you what you need, but if not, maybe others here in GeoNet have ideas? Fingers crossed! Best, Lauren

Hi James, There's a tool that might help identify the issue in ArcGIS Pro, the Validate Scene Layer Package tool. Maybe that can shed some light on why the scene layer package isn't publishing to Portal? Validate Scene Layer Package—Data Management toolbox | ArcGIS Desktop I hope that helps! Best, Lauren

A second question: Are we in ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro? If in ArcMap, do we have 64-bit Background Geoprocessing installed and enabled? ArcMap is natively 32-bit, so for large processing jobs like this, it's generally a good idea. To check Open the Control Panel Navigate to Programs and Features ArcGIS for Desktop Background Geoprocessing (64-bit) should appear as installed. In ArcMap, click Geoprocessing > Geoprocessing Options In the Background Geoprocessing box, make sure the "Enable" box is toggled on. If we're in ArcMap and don't have 64-bit background geoprocessing installed, that might be a good place to start. Here's some of the pertinent documentation: Background Geoprocessing (64-bit)—Help | ArcGIS Desktop Foreground and background processing—Help | ArcGIS Desktop If we're working in ArcGIS Pro, disregard all of the above! ArcGIS Pro is natively 64-bit, so that shouldn't be an issue. -Lauren

Hi Travis, Does the Mosaic tool do the same thing? Mosaic—Data Management toolbox | ArcGIS Desktop The workflow would need be adjusted, since Mosaic adds rasters to an existing raster, rather than creating a new raster, like Mosaic to New Raster. But here's how we can test: Make a copy of one of the rasters Use that as the target raster dataset in the Mosaic tool Additionally, does the striping happen on any other mosaic dataset or collection of rasters? Hopefully, this can narrow down where the issue is coming from. Best, -Lauren

Thanks for the update! Since there aren't any errors in the Developer tools, isolating when and where the issue occurs is probably the best way forward. To that end, here are some questions to start doing so: Do all Story Map Series fail to display this data? Do other data display correctly? Are there any filters on the data? Does removing them allow the data to display? Does changing the symbology allow the points to show up? etc. If you can, log a case with us in Tech Support and we can help you through that isolation process. If not, hopefully the above questions give you an idea of how we'd start troubleshooting and get you some good information! Best, Lauren

Hi Molly, Are you using the new Story Map builder or a classic Series template in ArcGIS Online? Here's a great blog post from the Story Maps team regarding the new Story Map builder: ArcGIS StoryMaps Do any errors show up in Developer tools when you add the map? That might help identify where the issue is coming from. The only other time I've seen something like this was resolved by using Firefox rather than Chrome, but it sounds like you've already tried that. Hopefully the Developer tools will shed a little more light on what's going on. Fingers crossed! -Lauren
