I am doing a least cost path analysis and I wanted to create a profile graph of the path. I have converted the line to a vector. How do I convert the polyline to 3D? What is the best way to create the graph once I have done that? I used the Interpolate Shape tool and the Add surface information tool but when I try to create a profile graph with the 3D analyst extension the graphs are a straight line.

The data is from the USGS Gapland (Download Land Cover Data ) for the state of New Mexico. I feel like there should be an easier way to get the files to join but there are no matching fields for any of the data and I can't add a field to the attribute table.

This is what I downloaded from Gap Landcover: The .tif file doesn't appear to have any information that I need. The layer file displays the colors of the landcover types but nothing is available in the attribute table, Id, Count, and Value. The attribute table has all of the information I would like to attach to a file to display, but it doesn't appear that I can. Is there a way to do this?

I downloaded some vegetation data and I have a layer file, a .tif and a separate attribute table. The attribute table has the information that I want to display (ie vegetation type), but I cannot join the attribute table to the layer file because there are no matching fields and I cannot add a field to the attribute table.

I am creating a predictive model. I am trying to transform the data distribution of some raster variables so that it approximates a normal distribution before calculating the z-scores to use as input variables for principal component analysis. I am trying to use the geostatistical analyst wizard to normalize the data but each time I run the tool and get to step three I get an error message that says there is not enough memory. I ran the tool once before without any problems but now after each go ArcMap shuts down.
