I published the service from ArcMap 10.7.1 with editing enabled. Before I had a chance to test the date field solution proposed by Previn Wong, I stumbled into different solution for the smarteditor widget; while troubleshooting a separate issue for a URL not displaying properly in popups, I deleted the text field containing the URL. This was done in AGO. Next, I opened the app containing the Smart Editor widget and the configuration dialog recognized the hosted feature layer. To test this, I added the text field and URLs as they originally existed and the Smart Editor issue reappeared - it would not recognize the hosted feature layer for configuration. I don't have a proposed solution, but there is something going on beyond the date field concern. Another point worth mentioning is that I have attachments enabled on this layer. Also, due to privacy concerns, I am unable to share the app with the public. Did anyone else who had (has) this problem happen to have a field containing URLs in their hosted feature layer?

Same issue for me. Here is a shared app to test: https://ywc.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=e81285d950c54f6a99cdf567ff98f907

No need to enable editor tracking elsewhere, but you will need to verify that the editor tracking fields are turned on for that layer in your map document. To do this, open Layer Properties > Fields tab, then verify that all editor tracking fields are checked (highlighted in the screenshot below). Another option is to disable editor tracking AND uncheck the fields as indicated in the screenshot above.

We are a typical water utility with multiple departments - Operations, Construction, Engineering, Maintenance, etc. Each of these departments have personnel who consume ArcGIS Online apps for that have been tailored to their specific needs. However, there are some tools within AGOL apps (not maps) that are used across all departments; for us, these include the the Bookmark widget and the Select widget. Every app that we publish includes the Bookmark and Select widgets. The good news is that every user leverages these widgets for their needs. For example, the Construction department has 3 AGOL users who consume the same app. However, each user creates their own bookmarks based on projects they have going on. Additionally, each user changes the settings for the Select tool based on their needs. This is also the case for users in other departments. However, every user who has created a custom bookmark (one that is not added when the GIS Administrator creates an app) loses those custom bookmarks when the app is updated (saved) or a new app is created in WebAppBuilder for ArcGIS Online, or any time their browser cache is cleared. As a workaround, we have created an Excel spreadsheet in a shared location for storing details of every custom bookmark for every user. This allows us to recreate the personalized bookmarks for each user. This same concept applies to the Select widget. Providing a way to store a configuration file within each ArcGIS Online user account for the Bookmark and Select widgets would prevent significant manual effort and rework in regenerating these settings. The ability to pre-populate the Bookmark and Select widgets with certain bookmarks and selectable layer settings does not allow individual users to "save" these setting after apps are updated, created, or browser caches are cleared. However, a configuration file stored within each user account could prevent users from losing their valuable bookmarks and selectable layer setting.

We are a water utility using EOS Arrow Gold GPS units with iPads and Collector. We have 5 GPS units being shared by approximately 25 field staff. Each staff member has their own AGOL account and we want each user to log in with their own account so that we can track who made changes to the data. The downside of having each user log in to Collector (versus creating a shared Collector user account) is that a “Location Profile” needs to be configured for each user account. In our case, we configure two locations profiles – one for RTK and one for SBAS. The issue is that any time there is an update to the Collector app, iOS, or the EOS firmware, these profiles vanish and need to be recreated. Currently, each user needs to visit the GIS Administrator and log in to each of the 5 devices (because passwords are not shared) and then the GIS Administrator can add the two (2) location profiles for that user on all five (5) iPads running Collector. We would love to have a single config file for the "Location Profile" that can be saved to our AGOL account and share it with everyone. This way, users can log in to their accounts and load the config file on their own. Better yet, it would be great if Collector automatically looks for a config file in our organizational items (perhaps by a specific name of the file?) and let Collector load it in the background. Another option could be to save the configuration file to the iPad "Files" app and allow Collector to access it from there. Thank you!

Check your editor tracking settings. In my case, the problem was a conflict with having editor tracking enabled on the FGDB feature classes, but also having the editor tracking fields turned off in ArcMap for publishing. Once I turned them back on in ArcMap, the feature service published with all data present. I also had success with disabling editor tracking and then turning off the corresponding editor tracking fields for publishing.

I suggest adding a configuration setting to the Layer List widget that allows the user to "Set Visibility Range" for symbology and labels. The configuration setting could be enabled/disabled in the Layer List widget configuration within Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS and then exposed in the layer context menu within the Layer List widget of the live Web App, like this: Thank you!
