Hi Georgiana, I've implemented a group ArcGIS Online Story Map assignment in one of my advanced courses (students are more familiar with software and each other by this point). -If students don't already have access to the organization, you can request for your admin to create "student" accounts with the proper permissions. Students use the login provided and update the pw. -Make sure students know how to minimize credit use and why. I haven't had a problem with this, but provide the data and instructions (vs on you own type project). -Consider asking students to create an individual story map including group components (specific layers/write up, etc). Doing so eliminates the need to create groups in ArcGIS Online or have a single author. Each student is responsible for his/her own story map but certain sections or parts will be group effort. I chose this approach because it was more straight-forward and the point of the group exercise was to be able to analyze more data and practice peer QA/QC reporting. My students completed image classification on a large dataset -- groups were assigned a region, individual members assigned smaller areas. The result of the group analysis was a final region layer package and write up. In the story map, it was a single slide. I found it easier to assess students for individual and group contributions this way. I hope this helps.. good luck!
