I was able to solve my issue and thought I should post my findings. Much of this was because of errors on my part. When I thought I was looking at the replica, I was actually looking at the parent GDB (connection file issue). The script I had created with model builder to synchronize SDE Geodatabase supplying my services also had incorrect database connection information, so it was not synchronizing at all. Once I fixed this, I was able to synchronize and see immediate results on my portal. I'm happy that this was a simple fix and that it works so well. I hope this helps someone out there.

Thank you Jonathan, the first post fixed the issue. I saw this solution earlier and was going to do this, but was a little hesitant to do it (I didn't want to break anything). But it worked! Thanks!

When all else fails...Restart. I restarted my computer and everything is working as it should. before I restarted, I could not move any layers in ANY maps that I opened. Fixed now - for future reference, restart your computer.

So, I figured this out and I would like to put the answer here for future reference should anyone have the same issue. I formatted the column with alphanumeric characters as the "Text" type in excel before importing. Once I did the Table to Table, I noticed in the field map that the type was coming in as the "Long" type, for some reason, the "Text" type was not coming in from Excel. So, I changed the field type to "General" in Excel and did the Table to Table again, this time importing into a Geodatabase rather than exporting. The alphanumeric column was then recognized in the Table to Table tool as the "Text" field type. I ran the tool, and everything came over perfectly. This seems like a quirk or bug in either excel or arcgis, but I got it to work. Please refer to this article as well: import - How to read Alphanumeric value when importing csv location file to ArcGIS? - Geographic Information Systems Sta…
