Jamie, I'm not a real user of ArcGIS Pro but it looks like it might be something simple like instead of using the Elevation Coverage Map, which is just a reference to show what are sources/resolutions of elevation data have been used in the actual service, try as input the Terrain layer from the Living Atlas. Details on that are at https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=58a541efc59545e6b7137f961d7de883

I was recently researching terrain data for one of Esri's partners and if you can take advantage of the Imagery Services in the ArcGIS Living Atlas they have pretty good resolution across Spain. The attached is a quick example of part of your area of interest and you will see the Terrain (or in this case the derived tinted hillshade) is much finer resolution than what you had sourced. Take a look at the Elevation Coverage Map at https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=3af669838f594b378f90c10f98e46a7f that shows all sources and resolutions of terrain data across the globe. Even if you can't use the Living Atlas service you can try the origin agencies Esri has collaborated with for their authoritative sources.

Hi Luis, I'm on the same Esri team as Matt so can help with your question on Data Interoperability. This is an extension to ArcGIS so is not included in the core ArcGIS Desktop license. Under the hood is uses many components from Esri Partner Safe Software who is a recognized leader in data translation workflows. You can read more at the ArcGIS Data Interoperability product page at ArcGIS Data Interoperability | Easily Work with Different Data Formats

Suhail, I am not a current subject matter expert in what you are looking for but as background I am a geologist with previous remote sensing training and practice so can offer some comments. I will assume that you are looking for guidance on the image processing and supervised classification capabilities of ArcGIS and specifically, ArcGIS Pro. The resources below may be helpful to you and I've asked some of my colleagues if there are any others that would be helpful. --------------------------------------------------------------- There are a lot of resources on image processing in ArcGIS Pro that are publicly available on various Esri and other websites:- Esri Academy /Training Learning Plan – Image Classification Using ArcGIS (May 2019) (7 Courses available free under software maintenance) Videos - YouTube – Esri Channel Image Classification Demo (Oct 2018, ~12 mins) ArcGIS Pro: Image Segmentation, Classification and Machine Learning (August 2018, ~1 hour) Videos - YouTube – Other Image Classification in ArcGIS Pro - The Basics (Oct 2019, ~10 mins) ArcGIS Blog Unmixing Dirt: Mapping Ancient Lakes in the Desert (Feb 2020) Getting to Know ArcGIS Image Analyst Guide (April, 2019) Spectral Profiles: Improve Classification Before You Click Run (Jan 2019) Hands-on experience with the Image Classification Wizard (ArcGIS Pro 1.3) (Jan 2011) Esri Publications ArcWatch – Mineral Exploration from Space (January 2020) ------------------------------- Regards, Paul Hartwell, Natural Resources team, Esri Inc.

I came across a great example from Esri Business Partner S&P Global Platts (https://www.spglobal.com/platts/en) of how they use the same starting data in different ways in their weekly summary on US drilling rig activity. The Platts Upstream Indicator is a free report available at https://rigdata.com/. It starts off as a data extract from SQL Server which then gets massaged into different styles of information presentation. The raw data looks like this and maybe helpful for a data scientist but is not useful to any business user wanting to answer the question "what is happening in the US drilling rig market this week?" : Reporting as a Summary Table - This style of summary has lots of details and uses the geography of state or offshore for reporting unit. You have to study this table to understand what has been happening as there are still lots of numbers. 2. Reporting as a Chart - Really great to show trends over time and uses the "where" as activity by major oil and gas basin. Again, lots of information represented that a user would need to digest before understanding what was really going on. 3. As a Map - As a GIS Professional this is my favorite reporting style as it has everything you need to know in just a glance. It tells you; Where are the producing basins (as the slightly darker areas) and in what state(s) By proportional symbol what and where is the level of rig activity this week (...the hyper-active Permian Basin in West Texas sticks out) Simple composite labels at each location give just the right amount of stats on absolute numbers plus changes up and down from the year before, This map is so well designed that in a matter of a few seconds you can assimilate everything you need to know as to the state of play in the US rig market that week. This was not the first map that this weekly report has used but this latest design introduced around August 2018 is by far the clearest and most thoughtful cartography the S&P Global Platts GIS team in Denver has produced. The mapping was done with Esri's ArcGIS Pro and apart from a couple of manual tweaks is mostly scripted as an automated process to create. A picture is worth a thousand words but in this case a map is worth a thousand rows in a table. Very nice job S&P Global!

There are global land cover layers in the ArcGIS Living Atlas that might be helpful to you depending on the resolution you need. The World Land Cover ESA 2010 data is available at http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=7173340debc240a9b7ee5aec230e099c as a classified imagery service. If you do a search in ArcGIS Online on "world land cover" and limit the Status to "Authoritative" you'll see there are numerous other services that might be useful to you. You will need either a Public or Organizational account for ArcGIS Online to get to the details.

Enjoy the rest of San Diego too! The main entertainment is centered on the Gaslamp District which is right by the Convention Center and includes highlights like the San Diego Padres Petco Field, rooftop bars at the Marriott Gaslamp and Hotel Solamar, and a diversity of restaurants for every taste and budget. A nice evening diversion also is to take the trolley down to Old Town for its original architecture and many Mexican restaurants. Esri’s local staff in San Diego compile a great set of resources where you can find everything to do in town via a set of online maps linked from the conference website or available in the Esri Story Maps Gallery (http://story.maps.arcgis.com/apps/Shortlist/index.html?appid=0584dbad6ebf433a96f1111f4cc7e3bd)…it is full of great tips for eating or other distractions! And if you get offered a cruise around the bay by an Esri partner or other group do take it for a unique and different view of the town. Bring sunscreen for day time event and a wind breaker/layering if its evening and there is a cool breeze on the water.

I had the same question regarding imagery in the Middle East which in theory should have been updated with the new high resolution DigitalGlobe content in October 2016 (see blog https://blogs.esri.com/esri/arcgis/2016/10/14/world-imagery-updates-more-digitalglobe-more-community-contributions/). A side by side comparison with say the Bing basemap at a specific location in Saudi Arabia showed that no update had been applied, or at least I hope it hadn't due to the lack of spectral quality in the ArcGIS World Imagery basemap. I've started making internal inquiries about this at Esri and while I don't have a definitive answer yet, it does seem that the Esri World Imagery basemap will be completely refreshed with 30 or 60cm DigitalGlobe enhanced imagery, the content is arriving in the blocks talked about in the ArcGIS Blogs, but the incorporation into the production system we all see takes a bit longer. If I get more on rollout schedule I'll add to the post.
