Hello, i have a question regarding the Cityengine Web Viewer. Some of my buildings are a bit below the earth and also the stairs are further below the earth. But you can see them if you look from below. Is there a way to prevent the CE Viewer from looking under the layer? Can i switch off this perspective somehow? Hello everyone, i have the following problem in my Cityengine project. Because of the hilly landscape I built my buildings on flat tops. But then the doors of the buildings are not at the lowest point. As already suggested in another post, I have therefore created stairs. However, I would still be interested to know if it would be possible to automatically set the doors to the lowest point of the building? In other words, that Cityengine always searches and finds the lowest point in all buildings and then builds the door there. Is there a way to find the lowest point? Maybe with case conditions or with special commands (maybe geometry.height or scope.elevation or similar)? I am using the CE 2018.1 version Thomas Fuchs Chris Wilkins Matthias Buehler Cheryl Lau David Wasserman Michelle Mathias Martin Manzer L R Elliot Hartley Dan Patterson Taisha Fabricius David Kossowsky Geoff Taylor Thank you Burak

Hi Chris, your rules are great. Now everything looks much better (see "stairs"). But some of the heights are not right, as you already mentioned (see "stairs1"). I'll probably solve it with s(). N evertheless you helped me a lot, thank you very much

Hi Chris, in fact your CGA Rule has brought me a lot, thank you! But the buildings in some places are still too high, so a staircase would be helpful. Do you also have a CGA Rule for the stairs, that would be great

Hi David, creating stairs would be an option, but how do you create the stair rule for it? That would be the best solution, but i don't know how to identify the best place for the door. Are resetGeometry and slope.elevation commands? I haven't found anything in the cityengine help.

Hi, I have the following problem: since i have a hilly terrain, i extrude the buildings with the command "extrude(world.up.flatTop,0)". However, the flat tops are much too high in some places (see "flatTop"). Is there a way to trim these flat tops? Preferably so that the door is always on the floor, or a flat top is created from the door onwards. Hi Jack, I think it's a street network. So you need to use the symbol "align street graph..." ( 6 symbols left of "align shape to terrain" Symbol)

David Wasserman Exactly there are different types of buildings like residental, public, estate etc. And I just want to reduce a certain type of building. I get the percentage reduction, only the condition with the 20 meters makes things difficult for me. What exactly do you mean by the independent form? It's a single shapefile but you can also click and edit the 262 shapes in it one by one. Cheryl Lau I have taken the code and inserted it into my rule (TestStartrule.cga) to see what it does. However, nothing happens. I may have to adapt it, but unfortunately I don't know how.

David Wasserman yes exactly that is the logic behind it. I have a single shapefile (see appendix) and this shapefile contains 262 shapes. All marked and the Startrule assigned, result in the different Buildings. I forgot to mention that I only want to reduce the "Estate"-Buildings by 20 percent, all others should stay. And especially the buildings that are close to each other (20 meters) should be omitted. Cheryl Lau thanks for your suggestion Cheryl. It doesn't have to be exactly the 20 percent but shouldn't be too far away from the 20 percent. I'll try to apply the code to my rule tomorrow.

Hello, I want to reduce the number of houses. I have a Startrule that generates these houses automatically. Now I want to reduce the number by 20 percent. An additional condition is that houses that are 20 meters or closer are eliminated. Does anyone have any idea how to do this? I was thinking about minimumDistance, but I don't know exactly how to write the code. Or are there any other solutions?
