Hi Tobias, I am not able to understand the exact issue on this. But using the script works out for me. For the script you can try resources.arcgis.com. I will post back if I get some more information on this. Thanks, Mukesh.

Hi Tobias, Even I used to get this same error in Sync service, after investigating I came across the open transactions in Oracle & hence Oracle was not accepting connections which threw error ORA:01012. Restarting the service worked. Created a python script which will restart the service after specified time. I hope this is just a workaround. Thanks,

Hi Tobias, Unfortunately I did not get any solution on this, but I tried a workaround. Created a trigger in Oracle which will check for open transactions which are more than 2 hours idle & kill them. Thanks, Mukesh.

Hello, We have a feature service published on ArcGIS Server, with offline mode enabled (sync operation) which is edited using mobile device (android). After some time of continuous editing we observed that the syncing is not happening, after 5-6 times of syncing next syncing is not happening. After restarting the services the syncing is working, again for 2-3 times.Checked the arcgis server logs found that there is an error saying " Error: Failure to access the DBMS server [ORA-01012: not logged on Process ID: 3596 Session ID: 340 Serial number: 33 ] " When checked in Oracle DB we found that there are many open transactions for the ArcSDE user. The transactions opened while applying editing is not been closed. I understand that these transactions should be closed automatically if the edits are successful. Please let me know how these transactions will auto closed. Is there any settings with ArcGIS Server or Database? ArcGIS Server 10.2.2 Oracle 11.2.0.1 ArcSDE 10.2.2 Thanks in advance.

Hi Marius, Which layer you are talking about? Are you saying the data source for the layer in published MXD?

Hello, I have created one layer for offline editing ex. EXISTINGQUARRY, added 2 features to the layer (EXISTINGQUARRY) from ArcMap. When I open the attribute table I can see 2 records (screenshot1) When I see the table from SQLDeveloper with following command – select * from EXISTINGQUARRY, around 10 rows are seen in the table. (Screenshot2) I want to know why this is happening, because when I create a query layer I am getting many repeated records for the 2 features. Noticed that a View is created in Oracle with name EXISTINGQUARRY_EVW if I query this I can see only 2 records as it is seen through attribute table in ArcMap. Want to know why is this happening, is this the expected behaviour or am I doing some mistake? Softwares used: ArcGIS Desktop 10.2.2 ArcGIS Server 10.2.2 Oracle 11.2.0.1
