Hi, Our approach is to create a query layer with either ArcMap or Pro and publish it as a feature service. You can consume the service from the runtime, however the 3D features wont appear in 3D on the scene as it is not supported in the current release. You will need to create graphics from them and place them on a graphics overlay on your scene.

Hi, I have a table in SQL server that contains 3d lines in a geometry field, this table is frequently updated. I want to show the features from this table on a scene in .net client. I created a query layer with pro and published it to my portal (10.4), which is configured with a federated server that the sql server is registered with. Publishing the data as a feature service works fine and the features are displayed correctly in online scene viewer (as 3D) but in the .net client they appear flat. I know I can use graphics overlay to display the features in 3D but I dont want that since the data set is quite large. So basically I'm trying to figure out what are my possibilities here. Thanks.

I'm planning to use gis for server. Part of what I need to do is use arcobjects to calculate z at xy in a tin. For this I'm doing the following: ITinAdvanced2 Tin = new TinClass(); Tin.Init("..."); ITinSurface TinSurf = Tin as ITinSurface; var z = TinSurf.GetElevation(some_point); My question is, what is the implication on the licensing? Which server edition will I need? I was hoping to be able to use basic Thanks

Hi, I'm going to work on an app that will be consuming and editing data from arcgis server that I have purchased a license for. I read the licensing documentation but its still not clear to me whether additional licenses for runtime deployment be required in this scenario. Thanks, Alex
