which analysis, extension or feature can auto-delete neighboring or close polygons that are below/above a certain parameter/variable, like 100k population, or if there simply is no neighboring polygons. being able to set a radius that will find the close polygons is good also can also link to guide or video, thanks!

what kind of data is needed for group analysis? http://video.esri.com/watch/1078/advancements-in-spatial-analytics does all the variables have to be in seperate .csv or can they all be in the same .csv? will point data work? or do places have to be in polygons?

All data from the usa census are .csv at least from what I know, which I open to edit with excel. If there is a 3rd party, better way to get the data, where we don't have to get it directly through the government, that would wonderful. The boundaries "Tigerline" are a .shp I'm not sure if that linked data source matches with what the census uses. There may be additional or missing places, or the census data may be off when shown on the map.
