BTW: I have removed two other .Net 4.7.1 KB: 4055002 and 4054852. Those were on my computer and from earlier this week, so suspect.

Thanks for posting. I should have thought of looking in the event log earlier. I have been struggling with this for a day already. Attempting to follow your steps, in good hope of fixing the issue. Already tried several repair installation. And most recently complete uninstall of all ESRI x64 components, followed by a reboot and reinstall. Only then did I think of checking here. Yep, this works! Confirmed.

I tried but do not recall being succesfull. And after the fact I have found may be too late. It can be hard to see, or retrace which is which. I have had a hell of a time getting WFS of revised shipping lanes to work. And to be really honest none of them worked with ArcGIS Pro. I got that chore completed with QGIS 2.18. That felt embarrassing to me and I guess it would be to ESRI. It should be. It is a tell-tale sign that there are website and services that specifically have an 'ESRI-friendly' specification of a WFS. Somehow this seems wrong to me.

BTW, I did try and find those short-cuts. I actually checked the Help for KB-short-cuts just before posting the idea. Just to let you know I'm not randomly posting without consideration.

Release the User Interface of ArcGis Pro much quicker than currently. Often the user needs to wait - unnecessarily? - for tasks than can already be moved to the background. Thus slowing down progress and workflow. Example Geoprocessing Pane. Once user has clicked run, release/liberate the UI. All that processing can be done in the background. Skip to different core (and actually use more than one at the time). I have checked with ArcMon (Alt+M within UI to activate), it seems the multi-threading mostly boils done to switching between cores, not runnning them simultaneously. Above is what should be happening, but in reality you need to wait - quite a while = several seconds = ages (certainly if you're pressed for time) - you could try to jump in ahead of time and adjust the FCs being processed but you'll be fooled. They just might jump back to their previous setting or name or ... Meaning you do not get the results you are after, unless you stay very alert and notice the unwanted changes that happen when the running tool completes. And undo what has been set wrong and only then run the tool.

Seven years old and still very relevant. Even the 64-bits multi-threaded version ArcGIS PRO has issues with regards to performance.

Agreed as professional developers serving a market of professionals ESRI should far more attentive in not breaking stuff when offering a new(er) version of their programmes. This should be a consideration not only for ArcGis Pro, but for many of their other products as well.

True, that ArcGIS Pro has a way to go to becoming a true professional tool. I must admit it has improved considerably from 1.0 to 2.0.1, but still it has ample room for improvement. For me it still is the first GIS to turn to and I use it a lot. But that frequent use does come with an almost constant irritation originating in missing functionality, crashes and as stated quirky work-flows.
