I never got an answer, but now we can assign default credits to our users. We start with a low number of assigned credits and have users demonstrate needs before we up their allocation. These days we use Portal more than AGOL, so credit usage hasn't been an issue for us yet.

I would assume that the ability to share a story to a group would include the ability to publish that story only to a group? It seems to me that "publishing" should be completely independent of where the story is shared. My interpretation is that "publishing" is really just the means of moving from a draft version to a published version for the audience. The "sharing" would indicate who could view the "published" story. Am I interpreting that correctly? Heath

We have ArcSDE and ArcGIS Server running and we have set up all map services to connect to ArcSDE through a specific user called GIS_SVC. This service user does not have administrative privileges on any SDE databases. It only has the level of permission necessary for the various map services. We have a couple of automated scripts that manipulate feature classes in these SDE databases and require temporarily disabling the 'Allow Geodatabase Connections' at the database level and disconnecting all usrs. Recently, our scripts have been crashing due to the GIS_SVC user reconnecting to the database while the script is still running. I have also noticed the same thing happening when I manually disable the 'Allow Geodatabase Connections' and then manually disconnecting all users. Has anybody else noticed similar issues? I'm thinking that I will need to submit a ticket with Esri. Heath

Thank you Daniel, We are giving a demo of the application tomorrow morning. It would wonderful to know that we can demonstrate the filtered spreadsheet capabilities of the Open Data Portal. Please let me know as soon as the hot fix is released. Heath

I thought I'd give people a heads-up about this issue. Placing it here may help get the bug resolved quickly. BUG-000090716 The download a filtered spreadsheet feature of Open Data Portal has a major bug. Once a filtered spreadsheet has been requested, all subsequent filtered spreadsheet requests return the same dataset regardless of the user making the request and the type of filter. This causes serious distrust in our ability to provide valuable services to our user community. This bug needs to be fixed ASAP. We don't have the luxury of waiting until the next Open Data Portal release.

Hi Mike, I might be abandoning that idea and creating a simplified view of the data that can be charted from a single, flat feature class. But I am still curious as to why it doesn't work. I've determined that it is specific to this service, as I can get it to work with another service in the map. I get a strange error in the console, which is different from an error that I get when I try to show related records for this service in web app builder: Can I invite you to a group that has the web map? Is this the user that I should invite? Thanks, Heath
