Changes made for the 10.4 release appear to address this issue. A potential fix for the 10.3.1 release was delivered to a customer for verification. Other customers requiring this fix for the 10.3.1 release should work with their Technical Account Manager to submit a hot fix request. Please keep in mind that hot fixes are targeted releases and may not be applicable in all customer environments.

Hi, Thanks for your question. GeoEvent Processor processes events as they are received and makes every effort it can to ensure events are processed successfully. Since the product is designed to work with highly fluid data feeds and is very dynamic in the way events can be routed (ACID) transactions are not supported by design. So if the power goes off on the machine events could be lost. If you want to ensure events get from a feed to the GeoEvent Processor you may want to consider transports that have guaranteed delivery mechanisms built in such as JMS and AMQP. Thanks, Tim

Hi Krishna, When an Input is configured using the 'Receive JSON on a REST endpoint' connector the following new REST endpoint is exposed to allow devices, applications, and/or systems to send GeoEvents into the Input via REST:
http://localhost:6180/geoevent/rest/receiver/ <Input Name>
To learn more about working with the REST Admin API please download the 'Tutorial - REST Admin API for GeoEvent Processor (ArcGIS 10.2)' that is available on ArcGIS GeoEvent Processor gallery on ArcGIS.com: http://www.arcgis.com/home/group.html?owner=GeoEventTeam&title=ArcGIS%20GeoEvent%20Processor&sortField=title&sortOrder=asc&content=all Thanks, Tim

Hi Jerry, Thanks for your questions on the costs of integrating GeoEvent Processor into a project solution. Questions such as license costs and quotes for Professional Services engagements are best handled by a Customer Service Representative or Sales Representative. If you are affiliated with the Esri EPN your Technical Advisor can also help with obtaining quotes. An Esri Sales Representative might be able to help you identify commercial providers for in-vehicle GPS units, but many of the providers are Esri partners so we cannot recommend one provider over another; so this is not an area which Esri will likely be able to provide you a cost estimate. Again, thanks Jerry. -Tim
