I had a question on 3D Point Cloud data. I've been asked how to get this type of data for an area in the NE US. So far I've only found these guys in Australia: aero3dpro 3D modelling service who provide this type of data. Does anybody know of any other sources? Thanks --Matt

A quick question on Web AppBuilder widgets. We've developed some custom widgets using the developer edition of Builder. Can these widgets be used in the ArcGIS Online integrated version of Web AppBuilder? Thanks --Matt

I'd say expand your skills. We look for people with skills which fit project requirements. Masters degrees are often academic, and not applied (unlike many of my colleagues, i forced my adviser to accept an applied Masters degree which set me in good stead, but took 3 years to complete). So certificate, degree? Most important are what you know and can do.

Yep, Flex is slowly going away. Its still has an active open source group at flex.org, but Esri have moved their focus with the rest of the Web development world to HTML5 and Javascript. The new esri web application builder, which is soon to be released, will likely be replacing the Flex Viewer for ArcGIS. It is a super application, with easy to add and build widgets. Flex still may have a place in the mobile world, since it is far easier to generate a hybrid mobile app with Flex than resort to PhoneGap.
