I met with the similar problem. Use GP tool Calculate Statistics on MDS, then get the right result. As you said, that didn't seem to make difference. Please try to set Strech type to Percent Clip.

Hi there, I am currently trying to create an orthomosaic but error occurs. The mosaic dataset has been created, could I rerun the following steps using orthomosaic workspace, I didn't find any button to rerun again. Or the only two solution as below: use lots of related GP tool to finish the following steps. create a new orthomosaic workspace. ERROR 999999: Something unexpected caused the tool to fail. Contact Esri Technical Support (http://esriurl.com/support) to Report a Bug, and refer to the error help for potential solutions or workarounds. No image for RPC adjustment. Thanks in advance for helping in any way you can.
