Afternoon, I have a form in Survey123 we have been using as an inspection aid. One of our inspectors recently got the following message when attempting to submit their latest entry; "Send Error, This survey was not able to be sent due to the following error: String or binary data would be truncated. The statement has been terminated". I can see from the Schema Preview section on Survey123 desktop that all fields have the standard 255 character limit. I can confirm that none of the possible responses (the survey consists of select_one, select_multiple and note question types) would come even close to a 255 limit. To be extra sure on the second point, I have tried submitted the survey without the note questions left blank and get the same answer. My initial idea, having read other entries on here was to expand the character limit for all entries to 1000. However this resulted in a warning message prior to publication that all previous entries would be lost - something I am loathe to do. Any ideas?

James, Sorry to add onto a thread that's approaching its first birthday, but this is the rabbit hole I've followed with my error. I am getting the error listed above (String or binary data would be truncated. The statement has been terminated). I have confirmed through the schema preview that all field lengths are set to the standard 255. Furthermore, I have checked and none of the select_one nor select_multiple questions have a character count anywhere near 255 (longest is about 104). None of the handful of responses entered into the note fields are anywhere near 255 either. I have considered resetting the fields to 1000 anyway, but get a message advising that data could be lost - not something I'm super keen on doing. Help!

Yeah tried that but it hasn't worked. The problem with using "Or", I think, is that it doesn't take account of the possibility of "And". There are eight possible answers (see below) for an inspector to the question example above; am I just to type the eight possible answers into the Relevant cell using "Or"? Seems like there should be a simpler solution. 1. Pass (no photo prompt) 2. Fail#1 (fail 1 photo prompt) 3. Fail#2 (fail 2 photo prompt) 4. Fail#3 (fail 3 photo prompt) 5. Fail#1 and Fail#2 (fail 1 photo prompt and fail 2 photo prompt) 6. Fail#1 and Fail#3 (fail 1 photo prompt and fail 3 photo prompt) 7. Fail#2 and Fail#3 (fail 2 photo prompt and fail 3 photo prompt) 8. Fail#1, Fail#2 and Fail#3 (fail 1 photo prompt, fail 2 photo prompt and fail 3 photo prompt)

Afternoon I am building an inspection form on Survey 123 Connect and, depending on the answer to the question, an option should appear prompting the inspector to take a photo. For example, when answering a question, our inspector is presented with four options: Pass Fail#1 - Broken Fail#2 - Missing Fail#3 - On Fire This is configured in the "Type" column as a "select multiple". I have managed to get it, so that if our inspector selects one of the fails, the photo prompt appears. However, as soon as multiple fails are selected then the photo prompt disappears - it should instead present photo prompts for all three fails?
