Thank you Owen for your considering this in future releases. There are several different cases to use such a feature: - State bounderies or other defined regions (as mentioned by you) - Map extent (also mentioned by you) - to draw an area would be also a nice idea - Along a line with a buffer > concrete example: In a large European project along the whole Danube river (2800 km) certain activities should be documented every 10 km with photos and text. However, the upload should only be possible in a determined area on the left and right side of the river > http://arcg.is/2ask39g So if it would be possible to use a polygon all these use cases would be covered (also lines or points with a buffer) Von: Owen Evans Gesendet: Mittwoch, 27. Thank you for your prompt reply and to think about the proposal ) We`ve a lot of regional and local POIs, addresses of enterprises, shops, offices, parcel-ids, .... in our Search Service, so it would be nice to find all these regional places and locations in the search service and not global suggestions from all over the world (see in action in our applications http://m.doris.at or http://maps.doris.at) Von: Owen Evans Gesendet: Mittwoch, 27. I would like, that the users can only upload pictures in a specific extent of the map. Is it possible to define an extent (eg with a shape) to do this? Thank you!

The order of images of a story map is reversed in AppStudio. The last photo is at once the first in AppStudio. In WebAppBuilder the images are represented properly. Why is that?

I have a little problem with the story as Map App: The first point in the story in the app is always different from the actual first point taken. Regardless of whether the story has an entry point or whether the first point should be the starting point. Up to the first point, the order is maintained; if I delete this point, then another arbitrary point is set as the starting point, but ot the actual starting point. Any ideas?

Hi all! Even as webmap the OSM basemap does not work in the ESRI-Android-App. However, this webmap works well in the ESRI-iOS-App. Question to the ESRI-Experts: What should we do now? Any suggestions to solve this problem?

Hi all! 3 questions about geolocation: There is more than one way to figure out the geolocation (IP address, wireless network, cell tower, GPS hardware). 1. If I use gelocation in JS API I don't know the used method or the accuracy of returned lat/lon. How can this done? 2. It also seems, that different locations are returned to iOS-ArcGIS-App and to ArcGIS-JS-API Mapping Applications. Why? 3. In ArcGIS JS API Mapping Applications it seems that the geolocation becomes cached and therefore a wrong location is shown on the map. Is it possible to turn off caching geolocation? I did this on my iPad.

Thank you Kelly. This works for me. In my next step I would like to show query results of several feature layers in my popup window (without a dip/touch) at my current geolocation. Thank you for ideas to do this. ColT

Hi all! Currently, it is necessary to click/touch/dip onto the map for displaying popups. I would like to open popups automatically (eg. on mobile devices) at the current geolocation of a web map from ArcGIS.com. Therefore no extra click/touch onto the map is required for information. Does anyone have ideas for me to do this with the mobile popups of Vers. 2.4 (esri.dijit.PopupMobile) ColT

Hi all! Configuring Pop-ups in ArcGIS Explorer Online is a great tool. However, only text, links and attribute fields are allowed in the Editor of "Custom Configuration", but no HTML tags can be used. Is there any possibility to use my own HTML-Code too? I would be great, if the custom configuration editor would have some of the features of this forum editor: eg.
<html><head>......
,
<?php .....
, .... ColT
