It looks like the portal is picking up the Self-signed certificate with the machine name instead of the 3rd party issued certificate with the domain name.

I have recently set up an Enterprise portal and have "successfully published" 3D scene layers from ArcPro 2.2; however, in the portal content, it only lists a service definition. When I try to publish from the portal, I receive the error: "Publish exception 'Exception: hostname in certificate didn't match: !=OR' " What can I do to resolve this issue?

It doesn’t match. It is picking up the machine name in the URL. I don’t see an option to Append/edit this URL here. I only see “Unregister Web Adaptor”.

We are using the webadaptor. I type in: https://domain name/webadaptor name When it comes up, I sign in, and it tries to direct me to https://machine name/webadaptor name This gives me an error. I fix the url back to //domain name/webadaptor name and it goes through to the portal organization page.

I am running Portal for ARCGIS 10.6 on a federated, hosting server. For some reason when I log into the portal, the domain name in the url changes to the machine name and cannot find the page. Once I repair the url back to the domain name, the login goes through and the home page comes up. How can I fix the url re-direct, so it does not pick up the machine name?

I found the problem.... even though I published the service, it was listed under the other administrator's content and not yet shared. Once I gave it permission to share to the organization, it came up in the application with no additional login request. Thanks.

I am running Portal 10.6 with a federated, hosting server (Arcgis Server 10.6). The portal has anonymous access and the publishing webadaptor has basic authentication. When I publish a new service, it does not appear in my "Contents" section on the portal, and the web application wants an additional login, which returns an Error #2048 dropping the service from the application. What do I need to change to enable all services and avoid this error?

I have checked our configuration, and all of our production websites have Anonymous authentication disabled with the exception of the default web site, which still has Anonymous enabled, as we wanted it to be publicly available. If we enable Basic authentication on the default web site, our production sites require two logins to reach the respective sites. In the server log, we can see who has logged in to each site and the time stamp. Why is this not picked up in the editor tracking?

I am running a website with the Flex editor widget ver. 3.6 on ARCGIS 10.2. We have an SQL server 2008r2 with IIS-7 Basic Authentication. When I enable editor tracking, the user column lists "Esri_anonymous". It has been suggested there is a configuration issue between ARCGIS for Server and the Web Adapter. What do I need to do to correct this?

Ah haa! Thank you. That was the bit of information we needed. We copied the connection file to a C:\Data folder and it worked. arcpy.env.workspace = "C:\\Data\\Connection to ARC1_SQLExpress (2).sde" Thanks again!

Can you post all your code? Are you sure the connection file exists in that location? Are you attempting to run this as a service/task while not logged in? Also, please read this on posting code. http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/48475-Please-read-How-to-post-Python-code Thank you for your comments and link. The connection is what we see in Catalog under "Database Connections". Should we be looking under "Database Servers"? This code is the beginning of a conversion of programs written and working for shapefiles. We are just learning Python and trying to figure out how to connect to our SDE database.
