I have downloaded the template "Storytelling Map Tour 2.2.6" and I was wondering how, and in which script, do I write a code to allow the user to check and uncheck layer visibility. The web map (sitting in My Content ArcGIS online) contains 2 layers. 1 of flood locations, and 1 of flood imagery. I want a single check box (on the header somewhere) to allow the user to remove the imagery from view if they wish to do so. I am VERY novice to JS and HTML, but I have managed to customize everything in the index.html code so far. Thanks!

How can I upload my 3D buildings and Bridges into the ArcGIS online Scene Viewer? (Such as in The Netherlands example in the scene builder?) I have them as multipatch, Collada, or .3ws...but I cant seem to add them as a layer in a scene. I currently use the CE Web Viewer, however I want to use the Scene Viewer because of its usefulness in the Story Map Journal, but I want to use my 3D objects in the scene.

Thanks! I think I have found the problem...my facade wizard has "(Beta)" next to it in the title tab. I think maybe thats why its not there. Even when I right click the image, the "Crop Image" option is gray (not selectable). Im going to look into updates.

My arcGIS administrator lists me at work as having "Advanced Concurrent Use" license. I have the ability to use the facade wizard (as well as KML support which comes with advanced license) .. just not the crop or windows tools. I have attached a picture of my interface with the wizard. Maybe its the version I have? or it needs to be activated somewhere im not aware of?

In the facade wizard video above, there is a tool in the Facada Wizard toolbar that lets the user crop the image before constructing the facade rule. I dont seem to have that tool. Is it an add-on? I have CE2013.1.

Ok! , Thanks! All of the suggestions worked properly if I take out the lines (polylines) and just add the multipatch building shells. I tried adding a smaller sub-set of the lines separately with the connect nodes and segments option. However they show up as extremely curved small lines. I want them to stay straight and tubular like they were when i constructed them for a line-of-site analysis. How would I achieve that for the lines? Also, how would you suggest getting the model to a 3D web scene? Is it better to create the models in CityEngine and then push them to Scene or Globe to make a 3D web scene or is it better to go directly from CityEngine to a web scene?

Ok..So I have a feature class of lines (with z values) and a feature class of multipatch buildings. When I drag and drop the FGDB in the Viewport, it gives me the option to select the lines and multipatch. However, the data does not show up in the scene even though it is listed in the "scene.cej" window with the terrain and street network datasets. How do i fix this? (I have everything in the same Coord. Sys. and everything shows up in ArcScene with no problem).

Thanks!...That worked great for converting my multipatches to COLLADA, however...in City Engine they are upside down (as if the roof of the building was drove into the dirt lol)...I was able to fix it by reversing the naturals in CityEngine , but im not sure how to fix it in the COLLADA file. Thanks for your help...im able to use these files at work now.

Thanks!..It works. I was able to export the footprints as COLLADA files. The only downfall is that the "interpolate polygon to multipatch " tool didn't keep the extrusion...only the footprint, but its a start. I can always extrude it in sketchup. Thanks!

I am trying to use the tool "Multipatch to Collada" to convert my multipatches to Collada files to use in Sketchup before I move them to CityEngine. However, the tool keeps crashing. Has anyone had any experience with this? know how to fix it? or have a work around for getting the "ACTUAL" textures for the sides of buildings into CityEngine besides Pictometry or Sketchup. Thanks (I have tried the tool in the conversions toolbox and python window, using Arc10.2.2)
