@JummaKhan - this is a very complex question actually. 1. the first step is to design the type of ArcGIS Enterprise deployment that you need and which ArcGIS Enterprise components and extensions that you will need, e.g. Portal, Server, DataStore, etc. 2. determine how many VMs in the deployment, and the size in terms of cpu, memory, disk, network of each machine. 3. then determine the ArcGIS Enterprise Licenses that you will need to buy for your deployment and determine if you can use any of your existing licenses in the Cloud. You will need to discuss this with your Esri account manager. 4. You can reach out to Esri Professional Services to perform a System Architecture Design for you and to estimate the size of the VMs for your workload. GIS Consulting Services | Consulting & Project Services (esri.com) 5. Then, with the System Architecture Design information you can use the Cloud Cost Estimate Tool to determine the monthly cost of the deployment in the cloud. Pricing Calculator | Microsoft Azure AWS Pricing Calculator 6. Optionally you can reach out to Esri Managed Services if you prefer to have Esri to manage for you the ArcGIS Enterprise in the Cloud (AWS or Azure). Managed Cloud Services | GIS Cloud Hosting (esri.com) 7. Another viable option is to explore ArcGIS Online, but that might not offer all the features that you need, and you might need to go with ArcGIS Enterprise in the Cloud. ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise? You don’t have to choose. (esri.com) I hope this helps.

@anbinh there are many changes in Pro 3.2 that Pro 2.9 cannot recognize Pro 2.9 is old and cannot work with a geodatabase arcsde repository upgraded with Pro 3.2 a new version of Pro can connect and work with a geodatabase arcsde repository that is in a lower version but an old version of Pro might find problems to connect and/or work with a geodatabase arcsde repository that was upgraded with a new version of Pro therefore, users running Pro 2.9 will have to upgrade to Pro 3.2 to avoid unexpected behavior while accessing a geodatabase arcsde repository that was upgraded with Pro 3.2 read more below. @gpgisandsky Oracle 19c Database Template Scripts - ArcGIS Pro 3.x & ArcMap 10.9.x June 21, 2022 *New if you unzip you will see that the folders are ordered by number 1, 2, 3, ... hence follow the order to setup the Oracle database and then create the ArcSDE Repository and continue to follow the scripts to complete the Oracle database configuration. The steps in the database guide book are included in the database template scripts, but the database template scripts cover a lot more detail and advanced Oracle features and the person needs to be an Oracle DBA to understand the database template scripts properly. My database guide books, and database template scripts do not make any clear separation of steps between the DBA and the Geodatabase Administrator, for that you will need to visit the ArcGIS Documentation and discuss with your Oracle DBA. I strongly suggest you ask your Oracle DBA to read the database guide book and to look in detail into my database template scripts. If you or the Oracle DBA has never configured an Oracle Geodatabase before then I also recommed you to attend the training below. My database guide books, and database template scripts can be overwhelming if you do not have the basic Enterprise Geodatabase knowledge, of course I also present advanced Oracle Database features there but that an Oracle DBA shall have knowledge about it. Deploying and Maintaining a Multiuser Geodatabase | Esri Training Instructor-Led Course Implementing Versioned Workflows in a Multiuser Geodatabase | Esri Training Instructor-Led Course Archiving Data in a Multiuser Geodatabase | Esri Training Web Course Configuring Branch Versioning in ArcGIS | Esri Training Instructor-Led Course Working with Utility Networks in ArcGIS | Esri Training Instructor-Led Course You might also reach out to Esri Professional Services to seek assistance to setup your Oracle Geodatabases properly, and you can request a cost estimate for the service, this might be a good way to start till you have the training and build the knowledge yourself to do this in the future without any external assistance. I hope this helps.

@JummaKhan There is no best cloud. It is a customer preference to go with AWS or Azure. There are many factors that can make your IT department to choose one cloud vendor over the other. 1. Does AGS is update automatically Answer: No, it does not. AWS or Azure you will create a VM and deploy ArcGIS Enterprise, then install the ArcGIS Enterprise patches like you do with a machine on-premises. 2. How map services are maintained on the cloud Answer: The same way you maintain map services in a machine running ArcGIS Server on-premises. For more information go to ArcGIS Enterprise in the cloud | Documentation for ArcGIS Enterprise AWS has the regions Canada-Central and Canada-West. Global Infrastructure Regions & AZs (amazon.com) Azure has the regions Canada-Central and Canada-West as well. Choose the Right Azure Region for You | Microsoft Azure Your cloud administrator must choose the region closest to your location to deploy the resources. I hope this clarifies your questions.

@BrendanSoulé ArcGIS API for Python API Reference - DataStoreManager https://developers.arcgis.com/python/api-reference/arcgis.gis.server.html#datastoremanager This resource provides information about the data holdings of the server, as well as the ability to manage (add new items, update primary data store, remove a data store item, etc) the data store. Data items are used by ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Desktop, and other clients to validate data paths referenced by GIS services. There is a bug with the ArcGIS API for Python "DataStoreManager". BUG-000131019 for ArcGIS GIS Server (esri.com) Associated service workspace metadata does not update after updating the registered data store connection string for services with registered data sources. Last Modified: January 11, 2024 Status: In Product Plan Workaround: Republish services from MXDs with the updated database connection strings. NOTES: I would try ArcGIS Pro 3.2 Update Data Source Tool to update the ArcGIS Server Services. Update data sources—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation You might also consider opening a ticket with Esri Technical Support to inquire about this, Support might be able to give you a Python API script that works for your case. I hope this helps.

@gpgisandsky Mapping and Charting Solutions (MCS) Enterprise Da... - Esri Community I want to clarify that you can follow the Production Mapping database guide books best practices in my community.esri.com blog above, you shall start by reading the Production Mapping database guide books first to build a foundation, the best practices are generic and can be applied to Oracle Geodatabases with Utility Network data, then if you want to learn to apply all the best practices and to go beyond and setup the Oracle CDB, Oracle PDB's, Oracle Tablespaces, Oracle Roles, Oracle Geodatabase ArcSDE Repository, Data Owner Users, etc, etc, etc, then download my database template scripts for Oracle, also available in the link above. You must go with the latest Oracle 19c Release Update Patch - 19.22 16-Jan-2024 and continue to apply the latest Oracle updates going forward. Other useful links from my blog. @ChenChen4 - if the relationship class is 1:1 or 1:M and goes from FC_A to FC_B then try to truncate FC_B first then FC_A last, if still not successful then try to drop the relationship class and try the truncate again, also make sure that no ArcGIS Server services nor users are connected to the geodatabase or you will not be able to truncate because of locks. Truncate Table (Data Management)—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation also notice that to use truncate the geodatabase connection must be with the data owner user.

@Bud - if ArcGIS Pro Catalog cannot open the view because for example the view is invalid because of dependencies, or any other situation involving dependencies and invalid objects, then what I have done to all my Oracle Databases is to monitor "invalid objects", if a table is dropped, or a field changes in a table and that causes the view to become invalid, then I have created an oracle dbms_scheduler job that executes every hour, the job executes a store procedure, and if it finds any invalid objects then it sends an email alert. You can find this alert in my database template scripts for Oracle in the link below. Mapping and Charting Solutions (MCS) Enterprise Da... - Esri Community I hope this helps.

@CodyPatterson - in the database the "sde" user must be mapped to a schema named "sde", and the "sde" user must be mapped to a login named "sde". As you can see those 3 things must have the same name. You can use "Contained Users" this way you do not need to create external Logins anymore. With Container Users the "sde" user can have a different password in each database, to achive this with Login you need to first map the "sde" user to the "sde" login, create the sde repository, then create a login e.g. "sde_<dbname>" and in the database map the "sde" user to the external login "sde_<dbname>", hence each login "sde_<dbname>" can have a different password. For more best practices visit my community.esri.com blog below. @Bud - this can be easily fixed. 1. create a dummy table with the same name of the table that is missing using a SQL Create Table statement, any columns can be added to the dummy table. 2. Close ArcCatalog 3. Open ArcCatalog 4. Connect to the Oracle Geodatabase as the data owner user of the Featureclass / Table 5. In ArcCatalog delete the orphan Featureclass or Table from the Geodatabase. 6. This removes the records from the ArcSDE Geodatabase Repository Tables. Note: this is a well-known situation for many decades, and the recommendation is to only use ArcGIS to delete Geodatabase objects and never drop any table directly in the RDBMS because it leaves behind records in the Geodatabase ArcSDE Repository Tables and this causes the Geodatabase to be in a corrupted state, and geodatabase functionality like "sde compress" among other features will not work as expected and weird error messages might show up.

@JefferyGregg - the sde.compress_log table will not get many rows even if you are running the sde compress every day for years. The question is do you need to keep the history if you are troubleshooting any sde compress issues, I suggest to not truncate the table, and instead delete rows older than 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, the period that you do not need the history anymore.
