Thanks. It helped and it is informative. As expected, the ArcGIS Editor for OpenStreetMap in ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) could not open ESRI flavored .pbf. In addition, ArcGIS Editor for OpenStreetMap is not available in ArcGIS Pro either. ArcGIS Enterprise can export its own .pdf flavor but it is cumbersome to use... I will not use .pbf again for the time being.

Hi, I am trying to Query a FeatureService in which 'null' geometries causes errors. In the Query user interface, how is it possible to filter out 'null' geometries? Thanks

Subscribing to this as I'm interested in ANY pyton or arcade expressions related to callouts. Specifically I'm looking to set conditional formatting. Something in the vein of IIF( feature.field= fairway, <leaderline>color = green</leaderline>, else...)

Hello. Your post really helps a lot of people. I thank you again! When I update the color RGBA and click the 'Update Service Definition' on the bottom, it doesn't update when I check the layer on webmap when adding it from the URL. When I go back to the Admin Update Service Definition page, the RGBA #s went back to original. Am I missing some step? Thank you.

I have never run the Calculate Field geoprocessing tool directly against a branch versioned feature service URL, but I believe you are correct in that it will run on the DEFAULT version if you have permissions to do so. Have you tried unchecking the "Make newly added layers visible by default" option in ArcGIS Pro? I have that unchecked because several layers I add to ArcGIS Pro are large and slow things down. With that option unchecked, I can add a large layer and configure it (scale visibility, etc) before I turn the layer on or just leave it off. As far as I know, the only way to run a calculation on a specific branch version in ArcGIS Pro is to add a layer to the map, set the version from the Data Source tab in the Contents pane, and then add the layer to the Calculate Field tool as the Input Table parameter.

For anyone following this page: we figured out that "Output as image" rasterizes labels. So the labels look blurry when you print the pdf. So we can't use that. But I am using ArcGIS Pro 2.8.3 now and our settings are working well: No output as image image compression: Adaptive Quality: 85 Compress Vector graphics Vector Resolution: 300 dpi Raster resample: Best Embed Fonts Very helpful hint that our GIS Specialist found: And add basemaps to a group and apply transparency to group or the pdf will have grid lines - https://geodesign.studio/export-arcgis-pro-adobe-illustrator/

I downloaded VIIRS VNP21, it renders correctly. I am using a to-be-released version, so there could be issue in 2.9.2 but has been fixed.

Nothing special in the Arcade expression, just trying to parse a date field in order to display previous day (Recent) features differently than others (Historic): var date_text = $feature.DATETIME //Parsing DATETIME date var datetime_list = Split(date_text, "T") var date_list = Split(datetime_list[0], "-") var year_val = date_list[0] var month_val = date_list[1] var day_val = date_list[2] //Caution: months are 0 to 11 var movement = Date(year_val, month_val-1, day_val) //Current day var display=Today() var yesterday=DateDiff(display, movement, 'days') decode(yesterday, 1,'Recent','Historic')

Hi Point 3 refers. Please try setting the tolerance in metres or feet and check if you obtain the error message? On the sample you provided, I set the tolerance in metres and it worked in removing the self-intersection. The problem was that I was unsure of your projection and therefore set the tolerance extremely huge to test the self-intersection functionality. This could be a short-coming in my thinking but I only use topology with projected data as I can visually see (in my mind) the tolerances I set in metres (I unfortunately cannot measure in degrees decimal). Thank you.

I haven't tried polygon to centerline either. I have used skeleton/medial axis and simply trimmed segments with a terminal node with no adjoining segments (aka, dangles). A smart algorithm ignores the end segments for the long axis and only removes offshoots meeting a certain length criteria. Lots of papers on the subject with only few practical applications other than to keep people interested in computational geometry off the streets 😉 PS, I notice that the width of the bend at the inflection point is greater than the width of the remaining polygon normal to the main line. So this is likely to produce the dangles that you are seeing since collapsing the main "channel" will still leave an uncollapsed area at the inflection point (as compared to a "buffered" line which should in theory have a constant width along its length
