Found the issue, the TPKs work fine from the external cards but as soon as you try to put any geodatabases on the external card whether it be by placing them before installing the app or by trying to generate them on the sd card it seems like the app crashes. I have the TPks on the external and geodatabases on the internal card and now the app is working.

UPDATE: This did not work, I had forgotten to clear some setting files and it was still pointing to the old SDcard directory so it looked like it worked. I went into my Files in my Android device and checked the info of my TPK The path shows up as /storage/extSdCard/ArcGIS/Runtime . I set this up and thought it worked but it did not.

Lucas, All I am doing it generating a geodatabase from a feature service and then displaying those local features. Since its secure I emailed you the creds of the feature service. It happens both when I am displaying the feature service live and when I am displaying it from the generated geodatbase. The error is displayed in the Application/Output Panel. Regards, Prem

After upgrading to 10.2.6 this has changed to and now it happens not just the first time but every time the map changes and I do not see a correlation of the number of errors and number of features D3D11 ERROR: ID3D11DeviceContext::RSSetScissorRects: ScissorRect at slot 0 is invalid. Valid Rects have left (value = 0) <= right (value = -4) and top (value = 446) <= bottom (value = 527). [ STATE_SETTING ERROR #260: DEVICE_RSSETSCISSORRECTS_INVALIDSCISSOR] This is not affecting anything that I am doing yet, but I am not sure if that will remain true as I add more functionality to the application. As you can see the layer is pretty simple its a point layer with a unique value renderer . If I turn the layer off then the errors stop so I am sure that it is related to this particular layer which is loaded from a secure Feature Service.

I am getting this error whenever I load a FeatureLayer using a GeodatabaseFeatureServiceTable . There is one exception per feature in the FeatureLayer and it only happens once per load . So I have 77 features in the featureservice I am loading the following exception happens 77 times when the application first loads. It does not happen again. Exception at 0x7ff810fe8b9c, code: 0xe06d7363: C++ exception, flags=0x1 (execution cannot be continued) (first chance) in EsriRuntimeQtd!EsriRuntimeQt::FileGPSLayer::qt_static_metacall Is this something I should be concerned about ? Cheers Prem

Hello, How do you reference TPKs or runtime content on external sdcards? Is there anything similar to System.userHomeFolder? Thanks Prem PS: I am working on a Samsung Galaxy tab

Lucas, Thank you for your help. What we found after exploring the geodatabase with SQLLite is that once you create a label for a layer in ArcMap and readjust it, it really doesnt work and messes up the runtime content creation for whatever reason. When we removed the layer and recreated the labeling and then created the labels again it was visible in the application. BUT Heres what we noticed. The labels are visible but it does not recognize a mask, in SQLLite the JSON does show the mask, we are getting rid of the mask and making the label colors better suited for visibility on mobile devices without masks. UPDATE: We did find that it does support label backgrounds so we are using that instead. SQLLite viewer is a huge help for checking the layer exports now that we know what to look for. Thanks again. Prem

I have a runtime geodatabase that was generated with labels and also scale dependencies. ( I have added the Geodatabase and the FeatureLayers to the map and I can see them but I do not see the labels. The enableLabels property for the FeatureLayer looks like its readonly and setting it to true in QML does not seem to be doing anything. What do I need to do to get the labels displayed? Second question is whether or not layer groups are supported in runtime content ? Thanks in advance Testing code is prettty simple Map { anchors.fill: parent focus : true ArcGISLocalTiledLayer { path: runtimePath + viewModel.appData.localAerials.localPath } FeatureLayer { id: featureLayer0 featureTable: localReadOnlyData.geodatabaseFeatureTableByLayerId(3) enableLabels: true } FeatureLayer { id: featureLayer1 featureTable: localReadOnlyData.geodatabaseFeatureTableByLayerId(2) enableLabels: true } FeatureLayer { id: featureLayer2 featureTable: localReadOnlyData.geodatabaseFeatureTableByLayerId(1) enableLabels: true } FeatureLayer { id: featureLayer3 featureTable: localReadOnlyData.geodatabaseFeatureTableByLayerId(0) enableLabels: true } onStatusChanged: { if (status == Enums.MapStatusReady) extent = initialExtent } } Geodatabase { id: localReadOnlyData path: runtimePath + viewModel.appData.localGDB onValidChanged: { if (localReadOnlyData.valid) localGeoDatabaseLoaded(localReadOnlyData); } }

Lucas, I am not exactly sure what I changed but I created a new project and put the files in the Runtime folder again and was able to get the layers loaded. I have another question regarding this, is there anyway to view the content other than through a program created using runtime? i.e. Anyway for the person creating the content to check to make sure that the content was created correctly? Regards, Prem

Jen, Thank you for the pointer. I tried accessing the service through the sample and that works. But I am still unable to get it to work using embedded credentials. How can I replicate what the UserCredentialsDialog is doing without actually showing the user the dialog? Thanks again for your help, Regards, Prem

I think you may be referencing ArcGIS Online? We are not using ArcGIS Online. The service is on your own ArcGIS Server.

I am trying to add a secure FeatureService layer to my map, eventually I also want to take the data offline for editing as well. I am unable to do this using embedded usercredentials as below. I have double checked and triple checked the credentials and it works in other places just not here. GeodatabaseFeatureServiceTable { id: featureServiceTable url: "http://domain.com/service/FeatureServer/0" // replacing with dummy layer credentials: userCredentials } UserCredentials { id: userCredentials userName: "DOMAIN\USERNAME" password: "PASSWORD" } In my Map I have FeatureLayer { id:featurelayer featureTable: featureSErviceTable // also tried to use credentials: userCredentials here. } The error log is ArcGIS.Runtime.Feature: void __cdecl QmlFeatureTable::onInitializeComplete(const class QString &) EsriRuntimeQt::GeodatabaseFeatureServiceTable(0x1c7913c1e0) ArcGIS.Runtime.Layer: void __cdecl QmlLayer::onLayerCreateError(const class QString &) QmlFeatureLayer_QML_52 "" "You are not authorized to access this information"
