Richard, Some follow up questions. If they do not have publishing rights, how are they getting their maps seen? And, in any case, could you just make these 'published' maps public so that they can be shared with everyone?

Hi Richard, There does not seem to be a real easy way of doing this. Susan, There does not appear to be a way to change the settings you are wanting to change. In order to do this, you would need to convert your LAS dataset to a raster (or a TIN) in order to change the hillshade/azimuth values. The most you can do with the LAS Dataset is changing the vertical exaggeration: Tagging the 3D place (and Spatial Analyst)

Garrett, If it isn't doing anything, can you tell if the active view got refreshed? After you run the script, are your items being selected (maybe manually refresh your view just to see)?

Julia, Last I remember, ArcMap limited Excel to something like 2048 lines. I would think any database would trump excel when talking about that much data. Might even be better to put it in a File Geodatabase, then analyze from there.

Hi Terry, I am a little confused by your post. Are you inviting people to join the DOT 'space' in GeoNet? Or does this forum post have another meaning? I guess since this post showed up in the main content in GeoNet, I presumed it was intended for everyone, but maybe it is only for people in the DOT space already?
