We are no able to download any of the datasets on our Open Data Portal. The site was working great last week (last checked 10/16/2015). Map Services are up and running and features are showing in both the table preview and the map. Any help would be greatly appreciated (we're presenting at the VA GIS Conference tomorrow ) Home | City of Lynchburg Open Data *** Update. The latest dataset that was successfully downloaded was "Addresses" at around 9:30 this morning. Thanks, Shaun Courtney Claessens Daniel Fenton Message was edited by: Shaun Conway

Is it possible to add a progress bar to an ArcPy Add-in in ArcGIS 10.2.2? I've tried adding the following code to the add-in with out any success. arcpy.SetProgressor("step", "Copying shapefiles to geodatabase...", 0, 10, 1) and arcpy.SetProgressorPosition() I have an add-in that updates a series of feature classes that takes anywhere from 30 secs to a few minutes depending on the machine. A progress bar would be a great addition to the tool from a UX perspective. Thanks! Shaun

We currently have multiple installations of ArcGIS for AutoCAD build 350 that we have set up to pull in services from our secure internal ArcGIS Server (10.2.2 with AD Authentication on the web tier). We haven't run into an issue until the last install where the user is unable to connect to the AGS. We've verified his credentials and tested his ability to connect to the rest endpoint in multiple web browsers. When setting up the connection to the AGS in AutoCAD (Civil 3D 2015), he is continuously prompted for credentials and authentication fails. We have not had this issue with any of our other clients on identical machines (Windows 7 64bit). Does anyone have any ideas? AD Authentication being successful in multiple browsers yet failing within AutoCAD leads me to believe its an AutoCAD setting or an issue with the extension. I've reinstalled the extension multiple times without any success. Any help is greatly appreciated, Shaun

I'll second Larry's suggestion of Notepad ++. It's great as it works well with many of the other file types you'll find yourself getting in to.

I was having the same issue and the posts from both Frank and Mathew were very helpful. I also found my missing xml in another location. Mine were in C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\. Once I copied the xml outputs in the correct directory, they then began appearing in c:\. To get it to work properly, I made sure I was navigating to the desired output location in the command prompt prior to running the command to run the tool. In the image below, you'll see that I navigated to c:\MapTest first. This appears to have fixed all the issues. Hope this helps!

We have come across this issue a few times. One thing to try is the "Save a service definition file" option in the Share as Service dialog. Once you save the sd (can be locally), log into to server manager and use the Publish Service workflow. We have found that when a specific map document is giving us issues publishing as a service, this option often works. (although it typically is only practical for new services. It requires you to delete an existing service.) We also noticed that staggering the service Recycling times cleared up a lot of our issues. We have a lot of services running and having them all recycle at the default midnight time would occasionally cause issues with the services. Basically, the msd's within the server store would be locked, preventing us from updating the service. Once we staggered the recycle times, our publishing issues disappeared. Hope this helps!

We are having issues with many of our datasets not being available for download after the shapefile appears to have been generated successfully. For example, our Structures dataset download will progress to 100% then page navigates away from open data portal to a plain white page with the text "{"status":"processing","processing_time":783.326,"count":32505,"generating":{"progress":"0%"}} " If I navigate back to the Open Data Portal site, it shows download was 100% successful. If I try the download again, it works as the download is cached. This is also occurring with Crime Location data and Sidewalk Areas. It appears to happen with any of our larger datasets. I've attached a video of this occurring. Here is an image of the page loaded and the URL that occurred after attempting to download our Back of Curb Dataset: http://data.cityoflynchburg.opendata.arcgis.com/datasets/2c1a60a85cef4860955d92a6b1b039c9_9.zip?session=1374283729.13960…

I'm a little late to the party, but I was wondering if you might have any information on how to configure ArcGIS Server to support multiple domains? Currently our police department is on a separate domain and we need to allow them to access our secure services. Thanks, Shaun

Hello Everyone, I am administering an ArcGIS Server 10.2.2 deployment in a local government setting. We currently have the server security set up to use a Windows User Store and the ArcGIS Server built in Role Store. My question is, how can I add an additional Windows User Store? Most of our users are under one domain (DomainNormalPeople) and we need to allow access for our emergency services personnel who are in another domain (DomainSuperSpecialPeople). Can I simply just add another domain in the ArcGIS Server Administrator Directory under Security > Config > Update Identity Store? And if so, do I need to use the ArcGIS Server admin user and password or those of a user that exists on the DomainSuperSpecialPeople? For Example: { "type": "WINDOWS", "properties": { "adminUserPassword": "fakepassword", "adminUser": "DomainNormalPeople\\ArcGISServer" } } { "type": "WINDOWS", "properties": { "adminUserPassword": "fakepassword", "adminUser": "DomainSuperSpecialPeople\\SomeOtherUser" ???? } } Thanks for your help, Shaun

Daniel, Thanks for the reply. This got me thinking and after poking around a little, I believe this issue is being caused by representations. Any feature class we have that has representations fails to download on the open data portal. Any advice or do I still need to go through support? Thanks again for your quick reply and assistance. Shaun
