Well, it is indeed Friday and I was able to resolve the issue by rereading the instructions below from the Help guide: For Bing Maps, if your organization wants to use Bing Maps in maps, enter the Bing Maps key that Microsoft provided you. If you enable this option, members of your organization see Bing as an option for adding layers from the web. Check the box to allow your Bing key to be used in maps shared publicly by organization members (your Bing key will be exposed to the public). This option only appears if your organization allows anonymous access to your site (in the Security section). If you disable anonymous access, the public will no longer be able to see your maps with Bing Maps. To reenable public access of your maps with Bing Maps, you need to recheck anonymous access and recheck the option to allow your Bing key to be used in maps shared publicly. I had missed check box option to allow our Bing Key to be used in maps shared publicly after checking the box in the Security section to allow anonymous access to our organization. Anyhow, hope this helps someone else out in the future...

It seems in previous Shortlist template versions that there was an option to add your Bing Maps Key in order to utilize Bing basemaps. Now this option is has been removed in the latest release. Is it not possible to use Bing Maps for the Shortlist template? We are currently using the 30-day free organization account for testing while we setup Portal here in house. I've already added our Bing Maps Key to our organization account and can add the Bing Map as a basemap to our ArcGIS Online web map being used for our Shortlist application with no issue. When viewing our actual Shortlist application though, I just get the loading screen. I've added code related to calling our Bing Maps Key from the previous Shortlist template version to see if I still needed to retrieve the Key through the application rather than the WEBMAP_ID, but still no dice. Console tells me, Map creation failed: {} It is Friday so I might be missing some small detail... Thanks for any suggestions!

Curious if this issue is going to be addressed in the near future? We are currently working on an application that will be using a touch device and just became aware of the issue while testing an application on a touch device at the Showcase during the recent 2014 Dev Summit.

Looks like this template does not currently support the utilization of feature services or map services, but I was wondering if this will be changing anytime soon, like really soon? I read in another post that some tinkering can be done in the source code, but I wanted to make sure there wasn't a new shortlist template version coming out right around the corner before I head down the source code road. Thanks!

Okay, I tried a few different options with the user identity feature class and finally I was able to get things working for my situation. So here's what I did, I created points in the project area for each of the users and added their names to both text fields. I then removed the associated user domain from each of the fields. Having a domain set for the fields was actually causing me not having the ability to select a value from the drop down menu in MPC within the user identity layer. Once domain was removed, and I reran the caching tool in ArcMap, this allowed the drop down menu to display the different values. Anyhow, in quick summary... Created a point for each user and added their name to both text fields Removed domain from both text fields

I am having trouble trying to configuring the user identity layer within Mobile Project Center (MPC). In ArcMap, I have created a user identity point feature class for which I have two text fields within the point feature class called USER_ID and DISPLAY_ID. The two text fields are associated with a user name domain. This user identity layer along with other layers are then cached with the GP mobile cache tool. Within MPC, I enable the user identity layer to be "used for Identifying current user" and then go to the Identity tab so that I can assign the fields. Here's the issue, the drop down menu under the Contains column only contain None. There is nothing to choose from. Plus the Additional Options below are grayed out. So it seems my user identity layer has an issue. The user identity feature class is blank (no geometry and no attributes). Is this the correct way of doing this? Do I need to actually create points within the user identity feature class for each of the names so that those names are in the attributes and not just domain values? Thanks for your help!

I have associated the Mobile Project with the MXD and then set it as "CURRENT" per the instructions, it is at this point when I open the Desktop Positions Window and use the Handle Sessions button that I get the error message saying that there are no new session are available. I have also associated the Mobile Project with the MXD and then set it to "CURRENT". Basically the exact process that cfoster15 has done with the same results.

Hello, It seems that Trimble Positions Desktop add-in cannot locate a 'new session' after I have ran the synchronize mobile cache gp tool. After the gp tool has finished, I can see the new collected data along with the new attribute information in the TrimbleSessions feature class. So, it seems all the data is there, but when checking for new sessions, I get the popup indicating that no new sessions are available. Any ideas of what might be causing the add-in not to locate the updated sessions? Thanks.

Ok, last post for this thread as I will be creating a new thread for another, semi related, question. To follow up this thread though, I was able to figure out that the overlapping polygons were being selected originally and returning values from the polygons underneath. I just created a simple map without the relationshipQuery task for which revealed that the selection function does select multiple/overlapping features. It seems the way I have the relationshipQuery task scripted, the task is not returning the related values of multiple features. Here's the link to the new thread http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/21911-relationshipQuery-not-returning-multiple-related-overlapping-features?p=71574#post71574 Thanks for the help! Trent

New question, but semi related to an earlier thread...http://forums.arcgis.com/threads/20725-Query-same-layer-w-overlapping-polygons After learning that the selection tool was selecting multiple/overlapping features, and returning the multiple non-related values to the dataGrid, it looks like the relationshipQuery task is not returning the related data correctly. What is happening is that with the relationshipQuery task is only returning one set of related data to the dataGrid when selecting more than one feature. The task returns correctly a single feature with multiple related records from the SDE table. If I select two features only one of those features, and related tabular records, are returned to the dataGrid. Not both features and their associated related records. This is what I am trying to figure out. Dissecting the relationshipQuery JS 2.1 example from ESRI, it seems that the code should be returning multiple values because of the dojo.map event. From what I've read, the dojo.map event creates a new array of elements based on the return value from the callback function. So shouldn't this be returning the multiple selected features from the relationshipQuery task? Or should there be a loop farther up in the realationshipQuery task? Here's the code below... <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">

I am still having a rather difficult time in my efforts to show related data on the dataGrid from a selection box querying overlapping/multiple polygons. I have tried modifying the code many times from other samples to loop through the features, but to no avail. Are there any example maps or code out there that would point me in the right direction? Thanks for time! Trent

Thanks for your suggestion. I have combined the "Select Features" and "Query Related Records" examples for my test web application. I am a little confused in where I should put the loop featureSet.features code. Using a function calling esri.toolbars.Draw(map) to draw my selection rectangle, would I add the loop code to this function? Or add the loop code to the function calling a esri.tasks.RelationshipQuery()? Here's my code below: <script type="text/javascript">

Hello, Curious if the Query Task will return overlapping polygons in the same feature layer? I know the Identify Task will do this, but I am working with data that contain relationship classes to SDE tables. From what I've read, the Identify Task is not able to reveal related data, unless I am mistaken. What I am trying to do is select features using a box and returning related attributes to a DataGrid table. So far, I've only been able to pass the top most polygon within the same feature layer and not any underlying polgyons. Your help and suggestions are greatly appreciated! Trent

Hello, I am trying to get the JS 2.1 Query Related Records sample script to work with some local data and I cannot get the related table records to show up. I am using ArcGIS Server 10, JS 2.1 , ArcSDE 10, and SQL Server 2008. The MapServer that I am referencing contains both a point feature class (0) and a table called Doc (1) with an associated 1:M relationship class. The related fields are called FeatureID, so should this replace the OBJECTID in the code? I've tried different scenarios with no luck. I am pretty new to all this so it's probably a simple fix, but I've been staring at this for way too long. <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">
