So, just a follow up. I figured out why it is not exporting a geo-referenced PDF. Well, actually, I don't know *why*, but I figured out the culprit. It happens when I use a Layer Blend. If I don't use a Layer Blend, then it exports out a geo-referenced PDF just fine. If I use a Layer Blend, then it doesn't. Mystery solved. I don't have a solution, other than not to use a Layer Blend (or use my work-around), but now I know. 🙂

If it happens again, I'll definitely try to reproduce it. By the way, ArcMap *had* crashed on me earlier before I got that message. And I did send in an error report. The error occurred when I opened the Zonal Statistics tool. So, hopefully that error report will have some clue for your technicians as to what happened. Maybe. Hopefully it was just something random. While I've moved most of my workflows over to ArcGIS Pro, I'm still using ArcMap for a lot of basic data crunching.

Thank you, Jim. While I didn't re-install ArcMap, I did shut down my computer and restart it and now everything seems to be working. But seriously, that was strange! By the way, I'm using ArcMap version 10.8.1 with Spatial Analyst Extension. Thanks again. Sometimes starting over is the best solution!

I just copied/pasted some of the error message into Google Translate and I think I have a virus! Not sure you can read the image above but Google translated it to this: I want to curse, I’m jealous, I’m jealous of the medium Ju Lei Lei Lei Lei Lei Lei Lei Lei Lei Lei Lei Lei Lei Lei Lei Lei Lei Lei Lei Lei Lei Lei Lei Lei Xing Xuan Xuan Xing Xuan Xuan Xuan Xing Xuan Xie Xie Xie Xie Xie Xie Xie Xie Xie Xie Xie Yu Xie Xie Qi Qi Very interesting. So... has support for the Spatial Analyst extension in ArcMap ended? This morning, I tried to do a routine function using Zonal Statistics and I got this: Any clue? I don't read whatever kanji that is so I have no idea what the error is referring to. I've migrated over to ArcGIS Pro for a lot of tasks, but not Spatial Analyst. Do I need to do that? Or is this some other random error? Thanks, Esther

I don't do python, but I think this can be automated with a python script. Have you thought of using python? I'm sure there are samples that would help write a script for your process. If you want (or need) to stick with Model Builder (in ArcMap, presumably?), then perhaps you can use the Excel to Table tool along with Add XY Coordinates tool and then perhaps the Append or Copy tool? Good luck!

Thank you, Catherine! I'm using a State Plane projection in NAD83. I'd rather not change it to WGS84 (presumably, you mean GCS WGS84?), but I suppose I can do that (though it will change all my extents - which are important). I'll give that a try next time I need to export a geoPDF. My work-around worked, so I've just been using that. But I'd rather it just work. 😕 Thanks for the tip!

Good Morning Doug, Perhaps *I'm* missing something. How does one get Survey123 to average the values from two other feature sources for the entered project footprint and count the number of points from another feature service within a certain distance of entered project footprint? Would I use the 'pulldata' function? Or?? Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

I'm working on a project to solicit fuel mitigation projects from the public as part of a CWPP (community wildfire protection plan) project list. We decided to use Survey123 to solicit information regarding each project. Much of the information entered will be automatically used to help prioritize each project. However, there are a few questions where the submitter needs to access a web map application to get the data they need to fill out the survey. My question: Is there a way to use the web map application in the geotrace question in the survey? And have the summary statistics from the web map application be automatically entered in other appropriate questions in the survey? Here's a link to a Story Map containing the survey (scroll down to the middle part): https://arcg.is/1LOKPP0 Essentially, the way I have it now, the project submitter has to enter the geometry of their project twice. We'd like to get them to only do it once (and have the data associated with the web map application be available to the survey in some way so I don't have to do a join later on). Any ideas on how to do that? Is it possible? If not, any suggestions on how to do it so that the user experience is a seamless as possible? Thanks, Esther Mandeno

By the way, I think I figured it out. The permission on the underlying layer was not set "to export". That seemed to fix my particular problem.

So, I guess this is a regular error. I remember getting this error before and was able to fix it, but now I can't figure out a new error for a new report template. Here's the error I get: Any clues?

Thanks for the reply, Jeff. And yes, I know that 'Simulate overprint' and 'Output as image' strips away the geo-reference data. Which is why they are *un*checked. I don't think I have ever used either of those options. Just a bit of background, like I said before, I have created geo-referenced PDFs from ArcGIS Pro earlier this year. I uploaded them to Avenza and gathered way points with them. And shared them with other folks who said the maps worked great. But all of a sudden, it has decided not to work. I suspect it was a recent update, but maybe not? I'm using version 2.8.3.

I'm having the same problem. There's NO WAY I can recreate what I produced in Pro in ArcMap. And I need the exported PDFs to have their coordinates. I have also unchecked 'Simulate overprint' (which is the default). Any other clue? I was able to produce geo-referenced PDFs earlier this year. I suspect a recent update killed the capability. It took me weeks to get the map I have. I suppose... I could export the map as a JPG and then bring into ArcMap, geo-reference the image, and then export it as a geo-referenced PDF. That would be a strange workaround, but I'm gonna try it. I'm desperate!

Quick follow up: converting to polygons worked, though I would have preferred the rasters. I hope they can figure out how to easily show rasters on a mobile map some day...
