@ZacharySutherby my survey is much simpler, though I do have 3 tables utilizing the pull data function. I don't have any extra fields, weird characters, or duplicate field names. What do you think? Thanks in advance!

@IsmaelChivite @JamesTedrick I had another user who was logged in with a different user name test it on his mobile device and he encountered the same issue. I did double check and made sure my field names matched my table names. I don't want to tweak it or change anything since I know the survey works and won't throw any errors, but this issue needs to be resolved or I can't publish it. This survey will be accessed out in the field so I am hoping we can figure out the pull data issue.

This error occurred for me using the back end field map app in Portal 10.8.1. The feature service, its related table and basemap are all shared with the same settings.

A good thought, but I don't believe that is the case. I am experiencing the same behavior on my iOS phone and my Samsung Galaxy Tablet. My table names in my choices list match the names of the .csv tables. I've attached a zip of the survey folder for your convenience. (you'll be happy to see this survey is considerably smaller than the last one I had sent you.) Thank you sir.

Has anyone had issues with the pull data function working in Survey Connect and the Survey desktop app but not on their mobile devices? I created a simple survey that pulls in data and calculates a field based on the pull data function. It works when I test it in Connect and it works on the desktop Survey app, but the field will not auto populate on my iOS device or my Samsung Galaxy tablet. Both have the most updated versions of Survey, and I have the most current versions of Connect and the desktop app as well. For now, this is using a hosted feature layer published to Portal. It's not an issue with the syntax or the pull data csv file since I was able to publish the survey no problem and I have been able to test it with no issues. Just not sure why it won't work on the mobile devices. Thanks in advance.

Thank you sir, I appreciate the feedback. The questions come from the client. With each job, there are different materials and equipment used, and with each of those, there is a cost and quantity associated. I added the hide me fields to help with the total calculation at the end. When they added several workforce assignments, that also added materials, so the survey ballooned. I do plan on contacting tech support today regarding this, so I am glad I have this feedback to start with. I'll report back if/when we come up with a solution.

Will this make it easier to publish the trace tool as a GP Service to Portal? I tried to publish just the Connected Trace tool as a GP service and when I tried to run a simple connected trace in my app it returned a ton of errors, as if I didn't have any parameters set.

I added a few dozen rows to an existing survey in Survey connect, so I decided to publish v2 as a new survey. No problem there, but when I use the Survey app on the iPad to complete a simple survey, it will not send, just sits in the outbox. I'm out of options so hopefully someone can suggest some things I can try. I zipped up the survey with the xlsx form. I did update Survey Connect and the desktop Survey app to the most current versions, but that did not help. The survey is published to AGOL with a hosted feature layer and a related table, with repeats set to 1. Tagging @JamesTedrick and @IsmaelChivite | Thanks in advance!

Alex, I don't believe I tried Kyle's solution. I ended up getting around my issue with a manual update (and using a Technician), but when I have some time to kill I will try his solution on another test dataset. Thanks.

James, I would try your method - in fact I have - but my survey is 751 rows long with several 'hidden' fields. When I create a survey from the feature layer, the hidden fields become text and all the calculate fields do not show up, so this would not be a good method for me. Any other ideas? By the way, it tells me there is 1 field not in the submission url. One single field.

Alex Friant I love your solution and updated post, and tried those steps to a T, but still got the generic 999999 error. Have preserve Global IDs checked, changed field to GUID, the field is already indexed, not unique. Appending from one file GDB to another, using Pro. Any thoughts on anything else I can do?

James, I'm not sure if this goes here in this thread, but...I am trying to use an if statement for a calculation but I don't know if it will work. I have a calculate field that adds up all the other calculated fields. But not all calc fields will be filled in, these are set up with the relevant field. My calc field will work in my survey if I select everything in my select multiple, then the calcs all run, but how do I get it to run the calc even if fields are not selected, or filled in? So if I select 3 out 4 in my select multiple question, then calculate those values, the last calc field will not run. I need to select all 4. I want the option to run it with everything or anything selected and filled in. And I am not sure how to do that.

I'll have to check, trying to run the tool remotely on a client's machine with their data. I would assume they do have Pro, but I can definitely test it locally. Thanks for the quick reply....

Hey Jake, I've had mixed results with both your script and James Tedrick's...Currently I am trying to run it on a hosted feature layer. Back story: I have a survey built with a hosted feature layer and a related table; the related table has attachments with photos. Your tool will download each individually (which, if you ask me, the next enhancement should be the ability to download both at the same time), but I cannot get it to download the attachments. My latest attempt resulted in this error: Traceback (most recent call last): File "D:\GIS_Workspace\EBA\GIS_Library\Toolboxes\DownloadServicewithAttachments.py", line 661, in <module> if hasrow == True: NameError: name 'hasrow' is not defined Now, I was able to retrieve the pictures as part of a two step manual process using the MapPhotos toolbox that I believe James created, but I had to first export then download the hosted feature data as a geodatabase. That's not super ideal and I'd rather get yours to run without having to constantly download a file geodatabase offline. Thoughts?

Our clients have a need to filter out data by fiscal year in the Indicator tile. Esri has several date related options when selecting a period, including This Quarter and Last Quarter. But I have to specify Date is or is after 7/1/2019 AND Date is or is before 6/30/2020. The problem with this is it's static so before next fiscal year I have to go in and manually change these values. If we had the option to do 'This Fiscal Year' or 'Last Fiscal Year' that would be a better, more dynamic solution.
