@IsmaelChivite @RussRoberts any idea when this functionality will be available in Enterprise (particularly 10.9.1)?

@IsmaelChiviteI haven't found this question or answer yet, so I thought I'd ask: in Connect, can you use the calculation column to calculate (or populate) an image from the related table to the parent FC? We are using an existing FC for point locations and the survey results are being collected in the related table. I want the image taken in the survey to then be copied up to feature class. Is that possible?

Hi @ZhifangWang, I don't know if this is a twist or not but this only happens to me when I try to preview my sample report. I can generate reports but of course that takes credits and I don't want to continue doing that when I am only testing. Can I send you my form, print report template and the jobID where it is failing? Running this on the latest version of Edge, have not tried Chrome yet. Thanks.

Thank you Katherine. I swear I messed around with adding closing tags in different places but nothing worked for me. Now I won't have to bug @ZacharySutherby or @IsmaelChivite tomorrow during the webinar!

Katherine, yes, still having issues. Regarding your #2, we can take that conversation offline, but there was a reason for the design. Row 10 and 23 do have the same field name, but they are in different tables; the values in those fields are populated from Workforce.

I have been messing with this report template for the last day and a half. Every time I move a tag I get a different error message. This one says Error: An error occurred when checking the report template. The start tag ${# Water_Assets} is unclosed. The tag "Materials" is closed by the tag "Water_Assets". Water_Assets is the parent related table for the survey, and Materials and Equipment are both child related tables. So I guess I am not sure where exactly to put the ending tags for each of these tables. Any help is greatly appreciated.

@MikeMillerGIS I added an attribute rule (Pro 2.9.5) to populate a field in the FC based on the value entered in the same field in the related table, on insert. Odd thing is when I test it and add a new related record to the FC, the field in the related record gets auto populated with the globalID, so I am not sure what that's about. And if I just manually edit that field to test the actual rule, the field does not populate in the feature class after the related record is added and saved. // This rule will update an attribute in the parent feature
// Store the parent feature global from the key field in the relationship
var parent_id = $feature.GlobalID;
if (IsEmpty(parent_id))
return parent_id;
// force to upper as the sql is case sensitive
parent_id = Upper(parent_id);
// Using the GDB name, get the parent classes records and Global ID field
var parent_class = FeatureSetByName($datastore, "Utilities_Model.GISADMIN.ssManhole", ["globalid", 'Lid_Condition'], false);
// Filter the parent class for only related features
var parent_records = Filter(parent_class, "globalid = @parent_id");
var updates = [];
var i = 0;
var new_value = 'Lid_Condition';
if (IsEmpty($feature.Lid_Condition) == False)
{
new_value = $feature.Lid_Condition
}
// Loop through each feature, create a dict of the Global ID and the new value date
for (var row in parent_records) {
// If the parent row is null or has a different value, updated it
if (IsEmpty(row['Lid_Condition']) || row['Lid_Condition'] != new_value)
{
updates[i++] = {
'globalid': parent_id,
'attributes': {"Lid_Condition": new_value}
};
}
}
// Return the original value in the result parameter, as to not lost the entered value
// Using the edit parameter, return the class and list of updates
return {
'result': parent_id,
'edit': [
{'className': 'Utilities_Model.GISADMIN.ssManhole',
'updates': updates
}
]
};

It is only shared with the org. So when I created the feature layer in AGOL from the service in Portal, I embedded the credentials on that layer. The service in Portal is shared with the org and the survey items and the feature layer are all shared with the AGOL org as well.

Sure. I created the survey from scratch in Connect, v3.12.232, published it up to AGOL as a hosted feature layer. Submitted a survey and downloaded the layer as a fGDB locally, then exported the FC to the client's .sde database. Used ArcMap to then publish the .sde FC as a service in Portal. Created a feature layer item in AGOL pointing to the feature service in Portal and attempted to use that item ID in the survey to republish. Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, I really appreciate it.

Hi @JamesTedrick - I actually just came across this as well, and I can confirm the service does exist and is visible from the same account that published the survey. I am trying to use a feature layer I created in AGOL from a published feature service in Portal (that is tied to an sde FC), but the survey won't publish. If I create a new feature layer in AGOL using the same fields from the feature service, then I can successfully republish the survey using the submission url to that layer. What gives?

I actually saw this come up when trying to manually reconcile and post my 4 branch versions in Pro (2.6.3). Upon first glance it appears it's an issue with actual data in a particular field, and the UN doesn't like what is in there. So if I have a field of material codes, and the UN expects to see DIP but instead there is Ductile Iron Pipe, I think that's an example of what would cause this. I just wish there was a way to tell which field(s) it's yelling about.

@Anonymous User, did you create this rule in the related table attribute rules or the parent feature class? And what did you use for the UpdatedFieldValue? That should be a value from the parent FC, correct, so what should the syntax look like if this rule is being created in the related table list?

Thanks, @ZacharySutherby , however, I made the same change you did and the Timber Calculation, Doyle Scale field still did not auto populate. But I see the issue: I want the calculation column for the diameter logs to be, essentially, the values of "diameter" and "logs", as opposed to adding them together. So instead of "10+4" which would result in 14, I want that field to result in "104". how do I concatenate those fields in a calc? edit: I figured it out. Thanks for helping me get there!
