I discovered that the workflow is different in Pro. If you are already connected to your Portal, you can use the Share ribbon to work with your services and manage the server from the web browser.

The same for me. ArcGIS Pro 2.7 and ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8. I'm the Portal admin and I'm connected to the Portal. And still, I can't change the connection type. ArcGIS Pro is my nemesis.

One more point for futur visitors of that thread. ArcGIS Enterprise Builder could take a long time to do the installation. While the progress bar doesn't move, it's possible to see the actions in the the logs and it took 3h30 for our installation before the configuration Wizard.

Hi there, Here is a simple SP where I generate 800 new object IDs for my RESOURCES table. -- Local variables declare @OBJECTID int -- To handle OBJECTID values generated in a loop declare @RowCnt int -- Counter for the OBJECTID loop BEGIN -- Load the new OBJECTIDs in the temp table IDs select @RowCnt = 1 while @RowCnt <= 800 begin EXEC dbo.next_rowid 'dbo', 'RESOURCES', @OBJECTID OUTPUT; Select @RowCnt = @RowCnt + 1 end END Running it with SQL works fine and always increment the OBJECTIDS with 800 new IDs but running it with arcpy.ArcSDESQLExecute returns random number of new Object IDs. That could be from 200 to 300 new IDs, I wasn’t able to identify a pattern. However, if I try to generate a limited number of OBJECTID, less than 300 for example, it works fine but I wasn’t able to flag an obvious threshold with arcpy.ArcSDESQLExecute. I’m stuck there. Why arcpy.ArcSDESQLExecute behave in such an erratic way with that SP ? Thanks.

I did some searches and figure out how to fix. I added ' WITH RESULT SETS NONE' to the SQL passed to ArcSDESQLExecute : EXECUTE My_SP 'arg1', 'arg2' WITH RESULT SETS NONE Here is a good post about how to play with the WITH RESULT SETS clause.

Hi Kevin, Were you able to fix that issue ? I've got exactly the same problem. My code runs fine in SSMS but not with ArcSDESQLExecute which returns the 11514 errors. Besides, I did some tests with the WITH RESULT SETS clause in SSMS and I get the error 11536 mentioning that the statement only sent 0 result set(s) at run time ... Thanks. Alex.

Hi Amnoy, On the end it was very simple, I was using a wrong provision file (10.1-10.4) and that's why I was stuck with 101 keycodes files. I depend on IS&T to get my licences and I couldn't validate the version of the provision file. I had to assume that they sent me the good ones. Is there a way to calidate the version of your provision file when you have the ECP codes only ? Thanks. Alex.

Hi there, I’m struggling to upgrade ArcGIS for Server from 10.4.1 to 10.6.1 I updated ArcGIS Server 10.4.1 to 10.6.1 with file ArcGIS_Server_Windows_1061_163968.exe I authorized it with no issues, using the 10.6.1 provision file provided by ESRI It opened the AGS manager windows to complete the installation with step 2. When I click to upgrade, it returns that error : I’ve tried to delete all keycodes files and to re-authorize it but it still doesn’t work, same error. Any ideas ? Attached is the server log. Thanks. Alex.

Hi Steven, Thanks for the clue but unfortunately, it doesn't work neither with my Entreprise nor ArcGIS login accounts. However, it works if I create a feature service directly from AGO with data uploaded in AGO. It looks like Feature Services published by ArcGIS Server and added to my ArcGIS Online account can't be used as Reference Layer in Power BI. Even if I set the security level to Public in both AGS and AGO, my feature service is not available a reference layer in Power BI. Anybody from ESRI could confirm that ? Thanks. Alex.

Hi there : I've an AGO Creator licence I've published a feature service with one single layer on our ArcGIS Server I've added that service in ArcGIS Online and it's recognized as a Feature Service I've shared it with everybody So why I'm still not able to see it when I log in AGO in PowerBI and try to add a reference layer ? I always get the "No results found" message. Thanks Alex.

Ok so it’s fixed, We reused the Configure ArcGIS Server Account tool to set the original domain account back as AGS user and it worked. We are still wondering why. It’s like something somewhere broke the relationship between the domain ags user account and ArcGIS Server. Changing for another user and back to the original one fixed that relationship. Basically you can try this : Use the Configure ArcGIS Server Account tool and set another user to run ArcGIS Server Use again the Configure ArcGIS Server Account tool and set the original user to run ArcGIS Server We applied the last windows update and rebooted the server and everything works fine. We will speak with ESRI later to see if they understand what was the issue. Al.

Ok so here is what we did with ESRI to temporally fix the issue : We removed all the ssl certificates from ArcGIS Server but the self-signed one (in the admin console) We set the Log On property of the ArcGIS Server Service to Local System Account We created a .\ags local user with the Windows User and Groups utility With the Configure ArcGIS Server Account tool -> We changed the ags domain user by the local one We gave full control to the local ags account to C:\arcgisserver, C:\Python27 and C:\Program Files\ArcGIS folders We Refreshed the ArcGIS Server service to see if the local account was the one running the service We gave access to the local account the the data managed on the localhost At least it fixed the issue temporally with access to local data stores ans AGS is accessible for the end users through the same webadaptor without having to do any changes on their side. Tomorrow we will try to get the domain account back because it's part of our initial implementation and we need AGS to access network data stores. Alex.

Hi there, We have applied a new SSL certificate to our server hosing ArcGIS Server and since then, it's impossible to connect to ArcGIS Server anymore. Our IT support has trouble shooted the issue and they still try to figure out what's the issue. Here is their input, any clue would be much appreciated. Thanks. Last June, we tried to apply a new certificate on the ArcGIS server. The latter did not apply correctly. So I deleted them and requested a new valid certificate. However, when I bound the certificate in IIS, ArcGIS stopped working. I can no longer access the "AcrGis Server Manager" web page by https://ourserver:6443/arcgis/manager/ IE tell me that the web page is not available. The Microsoft Security patches of June have been applied in a same time. It seems to be a problem between IIS and ArcGIS. I tried to unbound the certificate, same issue I tried to reboot the server, same issue. I uninstalled the Microsoft Security patches, same issue I tried to re-bind the last certificate, same issue. The only way to bring back the application functional is the reinstallation of IIS. But as soon as I reboot the server, ArcGIS stop working again, same issue. I need your help to understand the reason why ArcGIS stop working. I would like to understand how ArcGIS is called through https://ouserver:6443/arcgis/manager/ Have you ever seen this kind of issue?
