but I need the captured area of these polygons correctly, also if during capuring the polygon drawing line was crossed and therefore results in this bad area. I could "repair" this polygons manually by reshaping the crossing over area, but in fact that there are many - much work. any kind of automatisation possible? king regards andreas solved the problem manually with the "Check Geometry" Tool

hey, is there a possibility to check, if polygons from one feature class with the same capture date (attribut) overlap each other? attachment: captured influence polygons (blue, black..) on different days with GPS Mobile Handheld and therefore got once uppon another laying polygons which must not overlap each other in case, they are captured on the same day = attribute date. hm, so I would have to reorder my schema and need to put every class into one dataset. I couldn't find hints for another handling. Or perhaps possible with a kind of linking two datasets? Importing worked on my test so far - thx!

You could set up topology rules and use the topology editing tools to correct the hand drawn polygons so they don't overlap or have gaps. checked out the topology and a question therefore: isn't it possible to make a topology between different feature class datasets? Do I have to put all feature classes together in ONE Featuer class dataset, between which I want to use topology rules? attachment: so I want to build a topology between feature class "Gruenlandflaechen" (grasslands) and feature class "Wald" (wood) which is in another feature dataset "Feldinfrastruktur" an if it's just possible to get topology working by using one feature dataset: what's the best and fastest way to put all feature classes into one dataset? best regards andreas

hey, I just figured out, that a polygons where the lines cross another have a minus count "SHAPE Area". Can i change this by rebuilding the polygons with some geoprocessing? attachment: the blue selected polygon was captured with a mobile GPS handheld. In fact, that there is an GPS error of 2m and some captured areas were little, the polygonlines sometimes crossed itself and as seen at this example in the attribute table, the area seems to be zero. How have you stored the polygon data? i.e. individual shapefiles for each colour/class, single shapefile with attribute symbology, geodatabase feature classes or shapefiles? Calculation should be done between polygons from: Feature Class "Grasslands" with different subtypes Feature Class "Fields" with different subtypes Feature Class "Woods" with different subtypes And single Feature classes for infrastructure: residential areas... and i need the output stored into the attribute table of the grasslands subtypes.

hi, is it possible to georeference a 127° kite aerial photography reducing the warping of the edges to a minimum? I took photos from a field with marks including the GPS position. After georeferencing i thought the picture would fit better (example enclosed) Did i make something wrong or what is possible to get better results? best regards andreas problem solved by just using many many geopoints to get an approaching result but not useful for productive work..
