As far as my painstaking hours of experiement have gone, I don't think any of the text boxes are properly formatable are they in terms of sizing and spacing? I will happily use whatever layout doesn't ruin the text, but it seems to be every one of them.

@donnellkennerly -- This capability is not available at the moment, but we have already done some thinking about it and are looking into how we might provide this feature in a future update. I've converted your question to an idea so you and others can track this feature request.

@ColeBoyd -- I'm sorry you had an issue saving your story. It sounds like you are using one of the classic story map templates since the new ArcGIS StoryMaps doesn't have a save button. That message typically only appears if there is a problem with your internet connection. If the problem persists even with a network connection that is working well for other pages, please contact Esri Support for further assistance.

@TKWhite4 -- You can already do something very similar to what you are requesting. There are two main pieces to doing this: Using tools in ArcGIS Online/Desktop, create a feature layer of points, as you described above, using the centroids of your areas layer. Add the information you want to display for each location to each point in this layer: title, description, and image attachments, if desired. Then use this feature layer to create a map tour using the option to Start with a feature service. Create a web map that contains your polygon layer (don't include the point layer). Back in the story builder, change the basemap in the map tour options and use the web map you've created. The polygon layer in the web map will also be shown in your map tour. Let us know if this accomplishes your goal.

@JonathanMcDougall -- Back in December 2020 ArcGIS StoryMaps added a slide browser for docked sidecar blocks. I'm not sure if this fully meets your needs, but it may be helpful based on what you've asked for. Please check out this article for more details and a video of the slide navigation in action: What’s new in ArcGIS StoryMaps (December 2020) (esri.com).

@NicoleBraun -- I'm going to mark this idea as implemented since about half of the items have been added to ArcGIS StoryMaps. I would ask if you please submit new, individual ideas for your other requests. When multiple ideas are in the same thread, we don't get good information on which items the community is most interested in. Separate ideas can be much more helpful for us to know what people want, and they also make it more likely that others will upvote your ideas if they want the same things.

@SturgeonWest -- For now, we do not have plans for this. We are trying to keep express maps focused with a very simple set of tools and use cases since there are many other mapping options in ArcGIS. There are some other things that you could look into that might work for you. You can bring in your own web map (with all its layers) into a map tour. For your needs (creating trail stops), that might work. The new map viewer has some very nice sketching tools that may let you do what you want in the web map. You can read more about that here: Note This: Sketching now available in Map Viewer (esri.com).

@DruSexton1 -- If you view your web map in the new map viewer (rather than the classic map viewer) you'll see the same issue you see in your StoryMap. Here's a link to view your map in the new map viewer. Figure: 22 Libyan Detention Centres (arcgis.com) ArcGIS StoryMaps, the new map viewer, and many other ArcGIS apps (like the new Dashboards, Experience Builder, etc.) are built with the latest (4.x) version of The ArcGIS API for JavaScript, while the classic map viewer is build with the older 3.x version. Although the 4.x version is more modern in every way, there are still some differences between the two and a few things that the 4.x version still does not support. This is an issue with the JSAPI 4.x not supporting some things that the 3.x JSAPI did. Since this issue is not something we can address on the StoryMaps side, I would suggest contacting Esri Support and reporting the issue you are observing as a bug in the new map viewer/JSAPI. That is the best way to get an issue addressed so that your map works in all the latest ArcGIS apps that are built on 4.x. For now, if you need to have those popups working in your StoryMap you can create an app with your web map from one of the older 3.x templates (like Story Map Basic or the Basic Viewer) and then embed that app in your story.

@JamieLambert -- We acknowledge this is currently a limitation that impacts the experience of sharing stories privately between people who belong to multiple organizations. We are looking for a good solution, but there are some technical challenges. For now, we do have a partial solution that you can try. If you have a need to share a non-public story that requires a login to your organization, you can construct a URL that contains information about which organization the story belongs to using either of the two formats below: https://[orgID].maps.arcgis.com/apps/storymaps/redirect.html?id=[storyID] https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/[storyID]?urlkey=[orgID] In the URLs above, storyID is the story item's global ID, and orgID is the short name of your organization. The short name is the first part of your organization's website URL. For example, for https://epa.maps.arcgis.com, the orgID would be "epa." Either of these links will redirect the person following them to your organization's sign-in page and then to the story (if they provide valid credentials to the organization). Please let us know if you have feedback on this partial solution. The limitation of this solution is that the person who is sharing the story must manually construct one of these URLs, which we realize is not ideal. We'd like to get to the point where this "just works" for anyone, but there are several challenges with the current system architecture that are impeding our progress toward a complete solution. We'll continue to evaluate other options as the ArcGIS platform capabilities advance, but we don't have a specific path forward at the moment.

Ahh, ok. Thanks for sharing that link. It looks like "album" is a term that our outreach team uses to group sets of stories together on various topics. That's not something that exists in ArcGIS, rather it's something that's used on esri.com marketing web pages.
