Hi Vojtěch, I was able to create a Cascade story (here) using that service, so I believe you are correct in that you are encountering an issue with HTTP/HTTPS. Standard web security dictates that if a web page or app is accessed over HTTPS, then all other content on that page must also be accessed over HTTPS. This is often referred to as "mixed content" and you can read more about it here. It looks like the GIS server where that imagery service is hosted is not configured with a security certificate, so it does not support HTTPS. I'm not sure if that is your server or if it is administered by another organization, but one way to solve your issue is to configure the GIS server for HTTPS (this is a best practice anyway). Another thing you can try is to access your story map over HTTP -- you can try just changing the URL in your browser's address bar to http://[your app URL]. This will only work if your ArcGIS Online organization is not configured to require HTTPS in the organization security settings. See the troubleshooting tips in this blog for more information. Hi Mary, You can do that, but you'd need to download the code, make a small customization to it, and host your copy of the app on your own web server. The customization is described here: GitHub - Esri/map-series-storytelling-template-js: The Story Map Series lets you present a series of maps via tabs, numb… Owen

Hi Shruthi, Sorry, that error indicates that the Facebook website doesn't allow embedding. Unfortunately, there's nothing you can do about that in builder. If you are a registered Facebook developer you can use their developer tools, for example embedded posts or the page plugin, to embed specific pieces of Facebook content in your story. Hi Erica, Sure, you can do that. I would recommend that you have a large amount of space available to provide a good experience. If you don't then it may be best to have a screenshot in your page that has a link that opens the full-sized story in a new browser tab. Also keep in mind if you do embed the live story that your main web page should be responsively designed because simply shrinking a page with an embedded story map will not provide a great experience as-is when viewed on a mobile device. Here's an example of an embedded Cascade on the Bureau of Land Management's tubmlr feed: My Public Lands Summer Roadtrip 2016 Owen

Jess, By the way -- great looking story!! The cover image isn't loading for me, however. Are you trying to use an image you uploaded as an item in My Content? If so, be sure to make it public and use the URL that appears in the lower right of the item page (not a URL you copy from the browser address bar -- that will contain a token that may be invalid for others or expire). The correct URL for an image stored as an item in My Content will end with ".../data" Alternatively, you can load images directly into your Cascade story by dropping them on the blue area of the Media Picker on the ArcGIS tab. The uploaded images will then be available in the This Story section of the ArcGIS tab. Owen

Hi Jess, Yes, if you could share it with me that would be great. My account name is owen.storymaps. Don't forget that you'll need to share the story as well as its maps and layers to the group so that I can see them (unless the maps/layers are already public). Owen

Hi Doris, Thanks for your suggestion. We are already considering this feature for a future release. Can you please let us know some details of how you'd want this feature to work? Would you like to draw an area, select a feature (like a state boundary) or just limit the area to your current map extent? If you wanted to do this now you could configure your story to review contributions before they appear on the map and then reject any that are outside your area of interest. Owen

Hi Doris, Sorry, that's not available at the moment, but thanks for your suggestion! I've recorded your request in our system to track for future consideration. Could you please provide a few examples of the types of Crowdsource stories you'd publish to help us understand how you'd use this feature? Owen

Hi Patrick, Yes, check out the link that Xander posted. To use maps that you've created on your Desktop in a story map or other web app you'll need to publish them to the web (using the process described in Xander's link). Once your layers are published you'll add them to a web map and then that web map can be shared in an app such as a story map or Web AppBuilder or any of the other configurable apps available on ArcGIS Online. For more information on the steps in the process after publishing the layer check out the Make your first... Map and App links here: ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS Owen

Hi Arthur, Sorry you are having this issue. We tested Cascade with vector basemaps before launching the beta, and I just confirmed that I'm able to add maps with vector basemaps in Chrome and other browsers. I tested 3 different maps with a vector basemap and a variety of other layers in both immersive sections and sequential sections. This may be a different issue with the particular map you are adding. Can you please share the map publicly and provide a link or its item ID so I can test? You can send the link to me in a private GeoNet message if you'd rather not post it on the thread here. Owen

Hi Joshua, Thanks for the message. I just tested this with a few story map apps and other configurable apps, but I'm not able to reproduce the issue you are describing. When I'm logged in as another member that is a member of a collaboration group I see the "Configure app" button on the item page for items shared to that group as expected. Could you please check to see if this is still the case? If you still see this issue I would recommend contacting Esri Support for further assistance. Owen
