You can override the line spacing in Journal by adding some CSS to the source view (see here for help on how to do this). The line spacing of Journal's home (1st) section is different that the rest of the sections. Below is some CSS that targets some display attributes of the home section text; just remove .section:first-child if you want CSS that applies to sections other than the home section. For side panel layout .sidePanel .section:first-child {
margin-top: -8px;
margin-bottom: 20px;
}
.sidePanel .section:first-child .title {
font-size: 2.3em; /* usually 1.5em */
padding: 10px 0; /* usually 0? */
line-height: 1.3em; /* usually 1.5em */
font-weight: normal;
}
.sidePanel .section:first-child .content {
font-size: 20px; /* usually 16px */
min-height: 150px;
} For floating panel layout .floatingPanel .section:first-child .title {
margin-top: 25%;
margin-bottom: calc(10% - 30px);
font-size: 2.3em; /* usually 1.85em */
line-height: 1.3em; /* usually 1.5em */
}
.floatingPanel .section:first-child .content {
font-size: 20px; /* usually 16px */
}

Hi Jill -- we'll keep printing drafts in mind for future releases. For now, you can simply share the story to your org momentarily, print the story, and then unshare it. It's pretty safe to say that no one will even notice... 🙂 Owen

Hi Nadia -- Sorry you are having trouble adding your image to a story. Can you try again? It appears to be working for me. Perhaps there was a temporary glitch with your web server? I've added to the cover and to the story in the screenshot below.

I'd also suggest trying the browser zoom to increase the size of all the on-screen elements. How it works will depend on the resolution of the display, but it might help for the very wide screen.

Mele -- there isn't a way to configure that type of behavior in the Map Journal Builder, but you can try this via customization. What you want to do seems close to what's described in this article.

Hi Gideon -- There isn't a way to show the legend in Cascade right now, but there is advice on explaining your maps in this article: Story + Maps: Part 2 (see the "Be legendary" part in the More Tips section)

Hi Frank -- No, not without customizing the app. Can I ask you to share some more details of what would go in each portion of the main stage? I'd like to get more information about what you're trying to do.

Glad that will work for you. The embed bar should hide when you use the same domain, like I mentioned above, but there must be a bug since it appears to work in some cases, but not in your story. We'll keep looking to see if we can isolate what's going on a fix that for a future release.

Eric -- Yes, I'm sorry, but I'm not sure why it's showing in your app. We're looking into it further. In the meantime, if you want to manually hide the embed bar you can add the URL parameter &classicembedmode to the end of the URL. Also, as noted in this article, &embed doesn't have any effect in Map Journal, so you can remove that URL parameter from your embedded story.

Hi Johana -- While there's no way to host a video in ArcGIS and tie the permissions to a portal account, you can host videos on your own network on a web server and add them to your story map. As long as the videos are inside your firewall, network no one else can see them. You just need to set up a simple web page with a video player. Here's an article that shows one way to do it.

Hi Eric -- The embed bar shouldn't appear as long as you use the same domain for your embedded story and the parent story, for example www.arcgis.com or myorg.maps.arcgis.com. Can you give that a try and/or share a link to your story so I can take a look?

Hi Frank -- You could create an app using the app template called "Compare" (it's available in the configurable app gallery), which allows you to add 2-4 maps in different frames. Once you create the app and share it with Everyone you can then embed it in the main stage of your story map. To do that just copy the link to your Compare app and add it to the main stage as "web page" media.

Right, for the compiled app the sharingurl is in the config.js. It's right down there at the bottom of the file. The notes there indicate you need to update those values if you are hosting the story map app somewhere other than the portal web server. If your environment is unable to see the public internet you'll need to point your app to a local JSAPI. You can probably look at the other apps on your portal for the URL or this help topic might help. If you are unable to get it to work I'd suggest you contact Esri Support as they are much better equipped to help you troubleshoot disconnected deployments.
