I had originally published with this column originally cleared, but I can do it again.

Hey everyone. I have set up a Survey 123 in order to serve as the primary interface for grass cutting contractors here in the city. The kicker is, that I need the data to be edited from and back into a related table to the feature service (1 to Many). The relationship is also not set up with a Global ID, as I can not afford to have the GUID setup as a primary key on my Enterprise SDE. The Set up: Service requests are created in a Feature Service and a related Task is created for Cutting the Grass. The Survey is to pull the data from the related table only (not using repeats), get updated/ edited, and then submit the updates back into the related table. I have set the Survey to point directly at the related table. I have set up the bind:esri:parameters as suggested in this post: Repeat questions in 'Inbox' not showing from the very bottom. The Survey publishes fine, but when I attempt to bring in the Inbox it just spins forever. It should only be returning 5 sample datasets, so this should be pretty quick right? I've attached the set up to this post.

Hey everyone. I'm looking to use the pulldata() function to grab EXIF data off the photo, and populate custom fields in the ATTACH table created when I use the Create Attachment function in ArcCatalog. The setup: I have an Enterprise system (not Portal) and have published my feature class with it's attachment table. But when I bring it into Survey123 the attachment table isn't recognized as a related table. How do I get Survey123 to populate that table and not the feature class? I would like to capture the EXIF data from each individual photo, not just the first. Thanks! Erick

I have figured out my issue. I just switched over from using the premise UID to just the address. I attempted to use the int(), string(), and number() functions on the Premise UID but those didn't work. Altering the link to be the Address (and thus just a string) seems to work wonders.

Howdy, I am trying to use the pulldata function to autopopulate my survey based on an external_choices return. I have set up the external select as a cascade based on a field in the choices tab: As you can see here, once the Zone is chosen, it will give back those addresses within the zone. The external_choices table is set up with the name = a UID for the label = address. For example: What I am attempting to do further into the survey is auto-populate coordinates via the pulldata function based on the name UID. pulldata('MLGW_AreaA','X','Premise',${PREM_CODE}) pulldata('MLGW_AreaA','Y','Premise',${PREM_CODE}) where the file name is MLGW_AreaA and the file looks like this: all of this should work. but it is not. I have attempted to change the field it's pulling the data from to both the Premise and the Address fields, but nada. I should state that I am using vers. 2.0.29 Any suggestions??

James, when can we expect the search() function to be available? I have two surveys that rely heavily on address based location as well as what is currently in inventory. being able to search any external csv (that could then be updated) would make a world of difference for some of our fuctionality. Erick.

I have solved this particular problem for myself. So that people know. I had set one of the default answers with a bit of HTML coding. in this case I wanted the Service Request to show Open in Bold and Red. The existing feature class was not allowing this answer to be accepted and thus causing the Error.

I renamed the layer without spaces or special characters in my original mxd, republished, re-secured, and remade the survey. I am still getting the same error code 500.

Howdy, I'm brand new to Survey123. I'm testing my first survey on my windows computer. I published my feature service and secured it using this article How To: Create Survey123 for ArcGIS surveys that connect to non-federated ArcGIS Server services. I do not have Portal, we use ArcGIS Online. The Feature service was protected, and the password saved in the connection. The survey was created using Survey123 Connect Vers. 1.10.43. I generated the XLSForm by logging into my Organization and using the Create Survey function. I made certain that the submission URL and form_id were correct ( I followed an example from a previous form). The Survey was published just fine, stating that the existing survey will be updated to use the custom feature service (and link). The links work, I'm able to log into the correct feature service. I download the survey into my survey123 app on my android device. downloaded fine, I was able to fill it out. BUT. I get a Code 500 (Unable to complete operation) The submission URL and form_id worked in generating the survey. However I'm now wondering if the permissions are somehow getting lost when the survey attempts to create a new feature? This is a very unhelpful code as I am unable to pinpoint exactly what's going wrong.

Howdy, I'm new to using Survey123, but I was told that I could jump in using an existing feature service. I'm using Survey 123 connect vers. 1.10.43. I followed the instructions given here: How To: Create Survey123 for ArcGIS surveys that connect to non-federated ArcGIS Server services I have a all the minimum requirements set up for my feature service. Before it was giving me the code: 498 error for an invalid token. I'm attempting to use the feature service to create my survey, but all it is doing is hanging up on "getting feature service". I am able to log into the feature service, view it as normal, everything, on Arc Online. Any help??

I’ve got a SQL query problem I was hoping someone might have a solution for. I’m querying my table (COM_GDB.GISADMIN.COM_CRM_MasterFeatureClass) for duplicate X and Y coordinates. The coordinates reside in different attribute columns named X and Y respectively (i know it's original). To accomplish this query I am currently using the statement supplied by the tech article How To: Query for duplicate records in a feature class table : X In (SELECT X FROM COM_GDB.GISADMIN.COM_CRM_MasterFeatureClass GROUP BY X HAVING Count(*)>1 ) AND Y In (SELECT Y FROM COM_GDB.GISADMIN.COM_CRM_MasterFeatureClass GROUP BY Y HAVING Count(*)>1 ) This works very well when querying one attribute column, but I am noticing that it fails when combining the two statements using AND. Is this because it looks for duplicates in X AND then duplicates in Y? And not for only duplicate combinations of X and Y? It was suggested that I group X and Y together using this statement: X,Y in (SELECT X,Y FROM COM_GDB.GISADMIN.COM_CRM_MasterFeatureClass GROUP BY X,Y HAVING Count(*)>1 ) but I'm getting the error of "An expression of non-boolean type specified in context where a condition is expected, near ",". The same occurs when I group X and Y as 'X,Y', and I assume this is because X and Y are both Field Type: Double? Help??

I know I can bring the Assignment, Worker, and Location histed feature layers into an AGOL webmap and edit them from that interface, but it would be nice to be bale to use the Workforce interface to create and assign.
