Craig, I'm planning to use Workforce for one of my clients and the ability for mobile workers to see unassigned work around them and work on it is necessary. According the the product plan, when this feature will be available? Thanks Ofra

Thanks. At the end, I've installed the dev environment and put the app in it. When I've checked the external data source definition - everything reconnected and worked fine, without any change. Kind of "refresh". Ofra

Thanks Robert, I've found in the main config file and the widgets config files something like LayerID~numbers The layer Id is taken from the web map. I've changed the layer id in all those config files to the same layer id I found in the new web map (using portal/sharing/rest/content/item/[webmapID]/data...). I still get "no data". Any thing else I should change? Thanks Ofra

Many times I move apps between environments, I update the web map id (config.json => itemid), and find-replace all rest url's (notepad++ is great for that). Now I've used external data source in the app. These sources are from the same web map used in the app. I use them in InfoGraphic widgets#. The migrated app shows "No data" for all these widgets. What should I change in order to reconnect to the external data source? I do not have dev edition in the production environment... I'll appreciate any help. Thanks Ofra

Hi, It was a basic installation on one machine. Next time it will happen I will investigate the logs, if it will be possible, and open a case in Esri support. If anyone had this situation, I will appreciate any more information. Thanks Ofra Ainemer

Hi Jonathan The situation was unplaned, and we couldn't do things in advance. The host name stayed the same. We could not stop and start the portal. The change is one time event and not automatic. The behavior is that we get the red message, something like 'we could not access any portal. Please contact the administrator'. The logs were unaccesible, same as portal and portal admin. It happened several times, for different customers. Is there a file that holds the IP address, and if we'll change it to the new one, magically everything will work again? (Right now we don't have site like that, since we had to reinstall as fast as possible). Thanks Ofra

Is there a way to change the portal server's IP address so the portal will continue working? Every time one of our clients tried it - the portal stopped functioning and only reinstalling it solved the problem. In some cases we had to completely define everything from scratch. What is the right way to do this? Thanks in advance Ofra Ainemer Systematics

For one of my clients: He has on premise ArcGIS server, portal and SDE, and cloud Azure server with ArcGis server and SDE, ArcGis online as the front end. He collects data and attached file using Collector in the cloud environment. He want to sync the data to the internal system. I have created a replication between these two SDEs. Some of the layers has attached pictures. Since the on premise environment is not connected to the internet, I've defined disconnected replication, which created XML file with all the changes, to be synced to the internal environment. Now, the XML file has to be check by Prevention and detection (CDR)# system, for viruses and other threats, before entering to the internal environment. That system, cannot handle attached files (picture, pdfs and so), and asked me to extract the attached file from the XML, and attach it again after their check. Is there a script from Esri to do that? How can I do it? Any other ideas from your experience? I'll appreciate any help. Thank in advance Ofra Ainemer Systematics

Finally, with ESRI support I upgraded the portal with this scenario: After upgrading, there are two content direcotries: content_10.4.1 with the old content, and content, that was empty, or even didn't exists. I made backup in other place, renamed both directories, and operated "createNewSite" from scratch. Then I've replaced the new content directory with content_10.4.1 - and it worked (restart the service and clear cache). I've also tried to fix portal installation, and use other versions of content directory - but no success. The best result was portal with users, groups, and folders, but no items and no logos or picture. Yes Jonathan. I suspect that the reason is that the default goecode of the portal is this service, but I have no evidence. Maybe there's a bug in migrating that definition. Ofra
