Thanks for post and answer the question. We had the same issue after install 10.6.1. In our case we did run ArcGIS Server Account Configure tool to make sure the service domain account has all necessary access rights to the directories. But also seems apply the Trust Site settings in Internet Explore is necessary too as mentioned in Error: ERROR 001784: Unable to connect to the database used for scene caches (unauthorized)

Thanks Xander, it's sad it only supports Web Mercator as most of our data are in UTM coordinates. ESIR's help doc also needs be more explicit on that. Also the sample code on the web site has negative longitude (-188.15) which I don't know how that work

try to use ArcGIS Arcade Script to create geometries. However, even take the sample code provided by ESRI and run it in Arcade playground, it returns me the error "Execution Error:Cannot create Geometry in this SpatialReference. Engine is using a different spatial reference." The code attached below: var pointJSON = {'x' : -118.15, 'y' : 33.80, 'spatialReference' : {'wkid' : 4326}}; Point(pointJSON) What's going on???

Hi there're some functions seems only be available in the Arcpy come with ArcGIS Pro (arcgispro-py3), for example AddFields_management. we have arcgis server 10.6.1, and I'm wondering whether it is possible to publish python script has this kind of functions as a geoprocessing service. My understanding is 10.6.1 use Python 2.7 and its arcpy model doesn't have the functions you can find in Pro. Doesn't mean it is not possible, or i have to manually import the module to the server and config the path etc.?

Thanks Hayley Hume-Merry pointed out the typo. also John Urbano I just saw your message today. the script only works for 4 point rectangle. However, FYI since then I have been using Minimum Bounding Geometry (by width) tool to work out the rotation angle of polygon of any shape. Just make sure you enabled the Add geometry characteristics as attributes to output option at the bottom of the tool. The output features include a field called MBG_Orientation, which is the orientation of the longer side of the resulting rectangle. I could then derive the rotation angel depends on if the data drive page layout is portrait or landscape.

Hi Philip and others, I'm afraid the example of use Like Operator and ${username} Creator LIKE '%' + ${username} + '%' which you mentioned and also documented at Prepare for editing existing survey data—Survey123 for ArcGIS | ArcGIS didn't work for me at all. Actually I'm not quite sure if the syntax is correct, why the % need be singled quoted? I couldn't find anywhere on REST API or other doc explained why the % need be singled quoted. It works fine if my query is like userid = ${username}, or userid LIKE '%jack%', where userid is the field in my form that captures the Portal user name. However, I got 500 Error (invalid where clause) when tried userid LIKE '%' + ${username} + '%' , I also tried userid LIKE '%${username}%' it didn't throw error but no result returned either. Is it mandaroy to disable the Standarzed Query in order to make the LIKE operator and the ${username} varible working? I found the help page didn't clearly explain it.

FYI, just got ESRI support replied me on this question. Basically it seems it's expected and no way to fix. the original answer is below "The reason why the ArcGIS Online servers do not have the 404 it that the blankTile parameter is not usually included in ArcGIS Online basemaps and tiles requests. Hence there is no error to report back. ArcGIS Online has a different mechanism when it comes to detecting missing tiles. Its basemaps use a content delivery network (CDN) to provide faster response time. The 404 error is considered part of the expected behavior for ArcGIS Server basemaps as per this documentation. " By specifying this option, it does not necessarily mean resampling to any scale will work. For example, a tiled map layer may not have data beyond level 15 in some areas (for example rural areas). But in other areas (for example metropolitan areas), it may have data down to level 19. Enabling resampling would draw images all over to the last level and deliver a consistent user experience. In areas with no data, blurred images display. The tiled services need to return a 404 for missing tiles to get this option to work. Note that 404s for missing tiles did not become the default for ArcGIS Server until 10.2. Added at 3.6, updated at 3.12""

Hi Ryan, thanks for update, I'm with you (try not to look the console....), not sure whether it's the version of ArcGIS Server or different behaviors on AGO vs ArcGIS Server, as the World Topo Map, Street Map etc. from ESRI allows resample to 1:71 without using the keyword of "Resampling" and there's no 404 error....

Hi Nicolas, I'm sorry i can't share the URL, but good to hear yours working. My tile schema is 1:2000, 1:1000, 1:500, 1:250, where I created cache for 1:2000 and 1:1000. My ArcGIS Server is 10.5, I tested on both the built-in JS viewer in the REST end point which runs JS API 3.18, as we as JS API 3.25, both returns me 404 error though resampling worked fine.

Hi Ryan, the "resamping":"true" worked on our 10.5 ArcGIS Server, however I got a lot 404 errors caused by blankTile=false in the requests, and seems i'm not alone (see this post https://community.esri.com/thread/191959-arcgis-server-allowing-tile-resampling ) I'm wondering if you and others here if you got the same error and whether there's a way to fix it. thanks. .

hi Nicolas, Thanks for the post. I tested on our own ArcGIS Server 10.5 the "resamping":"true" did the trick, though it seems even it was placed above maxrecordCount item, it will automatically be moved before maxExportTilesCount. However, I also had the 404 error caused by blankTile=false. My tile scheme did follows the scale/2 pattern (e.g. 2000,1000,500,250), and I even tried put a blank.png under the _allLayer folder according to How To: Configure the cache folder to display a 'Data not available' tile for empty map cache areas or missing tiles , but it still returns the error, though it won't effect the final result. I'm wondering did you ever solved the 404 error on your end?> thanks

Thanks RJ for the reply. I did try leaving the WKID field blank but it was a mandatory field and attempt to import a layer with WKT but the WKID field is mandatory so it could not be done.

When add a geofence in Geoevent manager, it can only use WKID to specify the spatial reference. As our project is in local grid, where's no corresponding WKID but just WKT. Is there's a way to define the spatial reference of GeoFence by WKT. Otherwise it's worth to consider this enhancement. thanks.
