Hi James, I am struggling with this. Unfortunately our work proxy wont allow me to do this via a script, so I am trying to do it manually. my data is structured: Header Table > Repeat > Photo attachment If I use the 'Update Data', the header table data appends, but no data populates the repeat or attachment tables I had a workaround that I published here Transfer data from old survey to new survey breaks relationship class however this doesn't work anymore. If I use pro to append, I can append the header table. When I append the repeat table I get a 'general function failure'. I also can't get it to 'Copy/Paste'. It seems that it is trying to maintain the globalID (even though I have turned off 'maintain globaids' and removed globalID from the field mapping) so throws an error as it cant edit the field. What am I missing? Here is the error from the copy/paste:

GDay Mate, I created a new survey using the same files and the error has not persisted, so it looks like it was a glitch. Fingers crossed it doesn't happen again.

Hi James, If the survey is already on their device, when users access it via the link it opens the existing survey on the device, it does not refresh the survey. If we push an update, the only way to get it down to the device is to remove the survey and re-download.

I have a print template that will not return the value of one field. All other fields work. I have two nearly identical surveys where the templates work. I have tried my report template in those surveys and it works, I have tried those report templates in this survey and they do not work. I would say it is something wrong with the field, however the field works perfectly in AGOL, ArcMap and Pro. Survey data is here http://survey123.arcgis.com/surveys/ff5dd475f0a8497192e1e54736dd4a55/data Estate data is populated Estate information doesn't flow through to the example Estate information doesn't flow through to the report template any idea why this would happen?

Hi Claire, I filed a similar issue in https://community.esri.com/groups/survey123/blog/2017/07/26/introducing-custom-form-report-templates-in-survey123-for-arcgis at the end of last year and James said he had filed it for correction, any idea if that was actioned? The conditional formatting gets around it, but is a lot of work to build the templates for big surveys or for questions with lots of answers.

Rather than inboxing, I would like to see a refresh option on public surveys. We make minor changes to lists and to webhooks, it would be great if people could just refresh the survey rather than deleting it and having to dredge up the original link to re-download.

GDay Mate, I am trying to create this in Pro or AGOL. I have users entering geometry (points, line, polys) and attributes - I would like them to have cascading selects as they enter the attributes in the popup. I have tried using subtypes and domains, but AGOL doesn't handle them well, so am looking to the survey123 model for a solution. I have found that if I open S123 feature classes in AGOL I don't get the cascading selects. Is there any way to enable this? Cheers James

Is there any way to create cascading selects in ArcGIS online/ArcGIS Pro without creating domains? I have a feature class that I want to editing a web app and would love cascading selects as used in Survey123. I want to steer clear of subtypes and domains as they do not work well in ArcGIS Online - they are hard to update (we have monthly domain updates), hard to display and do not translate well between desktop and online when editing web services.

use Default or Calculate field in Survey123 Connect to set a default filename for images captured in the survey123 field app. Rather than the what is set by survey123 (a garbled mess that you can't easily sort back in the office after exporting from the geodatabase) you could use a calculation such as concat(${question1},format-date(${WSDateTime},'%Y%m%d%H%M',".jpg")

Current workaround: The 'update' (download file geodatabase from previous survey, and upload to new survey) fills the header and related table, retains the GlobalIDs and the relationship class, but loses attachments. After doing this step, I open both feature services in Pro, delete the data from the related table in the new survey, then append the data from the old survey, which maintains attachments. It is clunky, but it works for now (I cant see it working once nested repeats are brought in, or if there were attachments against both the header and related data).
